We're looking for an experienced Group Director of People to build and deliver our Group People strategy, lead a high-performing People function and partner closely with leaders across our businesses to enable growth, performance and an outstanding colleague experience.

The Role

As our senior People leader, you will:

  • Partner with business-unit leaders to develop workforce plans, organisational structures and leadership capability.
  • Balance Group-wide consistency with the flexibility individual businesses need to succeed.
  • Advise the Board and senior leadership teams on culture, succession, organisational effectiveness and people risk.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, leadership, talent and colleague experience across the Group.
  • Define and evolve the Group People operating model, including determining where Group-wide standards are appropriate and where business-unit flexibility should be retained.

About You

You'll bring:

  • Significant senior HR/People leadership experience, ideally within a high-growth or private equity-backed environment.
  • A strong track record of developing and delivering People strategy at executive level.
  • Experience leading a shared or Group People function across multiple businesses or locations.
  • A background in organisation design, workforce planning and supporting transformation/growth initiatives.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations, reward and People operations.
  • CIPD Level 6+ or equivalent professional experience.

Above all, you'll be a pragmatic, collaborative leader who enjoys partnering with businesses to solve problems, build capability and deliver results.

What We Offer

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 3 additional company nominated days
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Private medical insurance
  • Competitive pension and life assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • Employee discounts and wellbeing support
