GROUP FINANCE MANAGER

Location: Remote, open globally. We particularly welcome applications from candidates based in South Africa, Ghana and Morocco, as well as other locations that can work effectively across GMT+1 and African time zones.

Reports to: Group CFO

Employment: Full-time, permanent

Working hours: Primarily aligned to GMT+1, with regular collaboration across UK and African markets.

ABOUT RESRV

Resrv is a UK-headquartered cross-border payments and digital assets group operating across multiple African markets, the UK and the United States.

We are looking for an experienced Group Finance Manager to strengthen our group reporting, financial controls and reconciliation processes as the business scales.

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable working across multiple entities, currencies and jurisdictions in a fast-moving international environment.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Group CFO, you will take day-to-day ownership of group financial reporting, consolidation, reconciliations and finance operations across the Resrv group.

You will work closely with country finance teams, Treasury, Operations, Compliance and external advisers to ensure financial information is accurate, timely and well controlled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the monthly close and Group consolidation across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Prepare management accounts, board reporting and variance analysis.
  • Maintain accurate intercompany balances and support transfer pricing processes.
  • Coordinate statutory accounts, external audits and local finance requirements across the Group.
  • Reconcile accounting records to bank accounts, treasury systems, settlement partners and transaction platforms.
  • Oversee reconciliation of digital asset and stablecoin activity to wallets, reserve accounts and the general ledger.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, suspense items and intercompany differences.
  • Maintain strong finance controls, month-end procedures and segregation of duties.
  • Coordinate Group tax compliance with local advisers, including corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax.
  • Support finance-related regulatory reporting by providing accurate financial data and working with Compliance and local responsible officers.
  • Support the CFO with new market launches, cross-border structuring and financial due diligence.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Operations, Product and Technology on changes that impact financial reporting or transaction flows.
  • Support and develop local finance teams and outsourced accounting providers.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • Qualified accountant: CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong experience in multi-entity consolidation and foreign currency accounting.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS.
  • Experience managing month-end close, reconciliations and financial controls.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or international entities.
  • Comfortable working with Xero or similar cloud accounting systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with auditors and external advisers.

Desirable

  • Experience in fintech, payments, banking or financial services.
  • Experience with African operating entities.
  • Exposure to digital assets, stablecoins or cryptocurrency accounting.
  • Experience with transfer pricing and cross-border tax.
  • Experience with treasury, payment or transaction systems.
  • CA(SA) qualification.

ABOUT YOU

You are a hands-on finance professional who enjoys bringing structure, accuracy and control to a growing business.

You are comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and operating across different countries, currencies and teams.

You combine strong technical accounting skills with commercial judgement and are able to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Experience in payments, treasury or digital assets would be a strong advantage, but curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are equally important.

WHY JOIN RESRV

You will play a key role in building the finance infrastructure of a growing international payments business, with exposure to cross-border payments, treasury, emerging markets and digital assets.

The role is fully remote, with occasional international travel.
