The Group Finance Manager owns GDT’s group accounting engine from our new Singapore headquarters. This role exists to run the general ledgers, month-end close, and core finance processes across GDT’s three jurisdictions (Singapore, New Zealand, and Germany), and to work side by side with the Head of Finance to build a modern, scalable finance function that gives the business real insight, not just numbers.
As GDT moves its headquarters from New Zealand to Singapore to be closer to customers, talent, and capital in Asia, this role plays a central part in standing up the new Singapore ledger, systems, processes, and controls, and in shaping how finance runs in the new multi-jurisdiction structure.
The right person will bring strong technical accounting and hands-on general ledger experience, a builder’s mindset that sees a blank page as an opportunity, and the curiosity to turn accounting data into insight that leaders can act on.

The right person will bring strong technical accounting and hands-on general ledger experience, a builder’s mindset that sees a blank page as an opportunity, and the curiosity to turn accounting data into insight that leaders can act on.
The Group Finance Manager is accountable for group accounting, month-end close, and the core finance processes across GDT’s entities, and for helping design and build the systems and frameworks that will support a growing, multi-jurisdiction business. All accountabilities are executed in partnership with the Head of Finance and in line with GDT’s commitment to operating as an independent, neutral, and transparent price discovery platform.
- Group Accounting & General Ledger: Own the group general ledger and group accounting from Singapore across three entities and three general ledgers. Own consolidation, intercompany, and group reporting alongside GDT’s external advisors. Own and improve GDT’s accounting policies and processes so they are consistent, clean, and fit for a growing group.
- Month-End Close & BU Reporting: Own the month-end process and close calendar end to end, including reconciliations, accruals, journals, and management accounts, and continuously tighten the close so the business gets accurate numbers faster. Own business unit reporting, ensuring accurate BU-level reporting and clear communication with budget owners.
- Capitalisation & Capex: Own the capitalisation and capex process, including the capitalisation policy, fixed asset register, and depreciation. Track capex against budget and ensure that what GDT capitalises is well supported and audit-ready.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Own the AP and AR cycles, including supplier set-up, payment runs, invoicing, collections, and cash application. Ensure processes are efficient, well controlled, and work across multiple currencies and entities.
- Expense Management: Own GDT’s expense management software, policy, and processes, including corporate cards across entities. Drive adoption, compliance, and a good experience for staff.
- Payroll: Ensure GDT’s payroll across multiple jurisdictions is processed accurately and on time each month.
- Treasury & Hedging: Support the Head of Finance on treasury, cash management, and FX hedging. Help design and implement the hedging framework, cash forecasting, and banking set-up across jurisdictions.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering: Support the annual budget and reforecast cycles. Work with business leaders to build and own their budgets, then report on performance and help explain the story behind the numbers so leaders can make better decisions.
- Subsidiary Reporting & Compliance: Work with advisors in GDT’s subsidiary jurisdictions (New Zealand and Germany) to ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting, tax, and compliance. Act as the group’s point of coordination so nothing falls through the cracks between countries.
- External Partners & Audit: Work with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, and banks to get things done. Manage the year-end audit process and keep advisors well briefed and on track.
- Singapore Migration & Finance Build: Play a key role in GDT’s move from New Zealand to Singapore. Help stand up the new Singapore ledger, accounting systems, processes, and controls, and shape how finance runs in the new structure.
- Systems & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement new tools, automation, and frameworks that make finance faster and more useful. Build the processes and controls a scaling, multi-jurisdiction business needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Finance as a true partner, and with the CEO and GDT Leadership Team, budget holders, system owners, People and Culture, and Europe leadership to deliver accurate reporting and support good decisions. Coordinate with external auditors, tax and legal advisors, local accountants and advisors in New Zealand and Germany, banks, and software and systems vendors.
