Euroports is looking for a Group Financial Accountant to strengthen our Group Financial Services team and ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial reporting across our international organisation.

You’ll take ownership of accounting for assigned Euroports entities, covering closing, reporting, statutory and tax requirements, audits, and more complex accounting matters.

We are One Group, One Experience… We are One Euroports.

Who are we?

At Euroports, we play an essential role in keeping global trade moving. As one of the world’s leading maritime logistics companies, we handle more than 70 million tonnes of essential goods every year.

Headquartered in Antwerp and operating across 10 countries, our 2,700 colleagues help keep global trade moving. Now, we want you to be part of that story.

Meet the team

You’ll join our Group Financial Services team and report to the Group Financial Services Manager.

Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, you’ll ensure the financial integrity of your assigned entities while helping us continuously improve and harmonise Finance processes across Euroports.

What you'll be doing?

As Group Financial Accountant, you’ll combine hands-on accounting ownership with financial reporting, compliance, audit coordination, and continuous improvement.

You Will

  • Manage the full general ledger accounting for assigned entities.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare and review accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and complex accounting adjustments.
  • Analyse financial results and investigate significant variances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and statutory financial reporting.
  • Support Group consolidation and ensure compliance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
  • Prepare and review VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting with Business Controlling.
  • Resolve complex accounting and reconciliation matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement and harmonisation of Finance processes.
  • Support Finance transformation and system implementation projects.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you’ll have taken ownership of your assigned entities, delivering accurate and timely closing, reporting, statutory, and tax activities.

You’ll also have become a trusted Finance partner while contributing to stronger and more harmonised accounting processes across Euroports.

What we’re looking for

To thrive in this role, you:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or equivalent.
  • Bring 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Have experience in an international or multi-entity environment.
  • Have strong knowledge of IFRS and Local GAAP, statutory reporting, and taxation.
  • Bring solid closing, financial reporting, and audit experience.
  • Have strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Have advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Are fluent in English. Additional European languages, particularly French, are an advantage.
  • Bring consolidation experience as an advantage.

Why Euroports?

At Euroports, you’ll be part of a global, diverse, and inclusive team, with flexibility, career growth opportunities, and a working environment where we look out for each other.

You’ll have real ownership of your entities while gaining broad exposure to reporting, statutory matters, audits, and Finance improvement initiatives across an international organisation.

Euroports offers a competitive remuneration package, with salary based on experience, skills, and seniority. The applicable range will be shared before the first interview, in line with our commitment to pay transparency.

Our offer also includes a competitive benefits package, flexible working arrangements where applicable, and training and development opportunities.

After you apply, you can expect:

  • Application review
  • Online video screening
  • Online personality, behaviour, and aptitude assessment
  • On-site interview with the Hiring Manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Security check for critical roles

If selected, we’ll extend a formal offer and guide you through the onboarding process.
