Role synopsis
The Group Transformation Analyst is a member of the Group Transformation Office (GTO), a central function established to drive and coordinate large-scale transformation across the organization. The GTO’s directive is to accelerate delivery of structural cost reductions, improve organizational efficiency, and optimize transformation outcomes across entities and functions.
As a Group Transformation analyst, the role holder will provide support across a portfolio of GTO led initiatives including detailed data analytics and modelling. This role will also help develop and lead the centralized GTO reporting on headcount and cost delivery for the group, as well as internal GTO performance reporting. The role will provide opportunities to develop consulting and programme leadership skills,
Role purpose
The purpose of the Group Transformation Analyst role is to provide analytical support across a portfolio of projects. Support on GTO reporting both group level reporting and internal performance reporting. In addition the role will key customers from both business/functions and within P&C to develop a common set of metrics and base line data for transformation planning and modelling.
Role accountabilities
- Headcount and organisational Analytics: provide benchmarks and performance metrics to align transformation outcomes with best-in-class standards.
- Performance Reporting: Report progress and achievements to GTO leadership and senior partners, supporting clarity and informed decision-making.
- Project support: producing data driven insights through the use of financial and organisation modelling. Utilising both AI and core bp systems such as Workday and OrgVue.
Skills
- Strong analytical and financial acuity.

- Understanding of AI and data strategies
- Data-driven attitude with the ability to translate insight into clear and simple action plans/opportunities.

Crucial Experience and Job Requirements:
- Experience in business analytics, or data/modelling roles within sophisticated, global organizations.
- Experience in the energy sector and deep understanding of bp’s strategic priorities preferred.
- Understanding of bp’s data architecture and org tools such as Workday and Orgvue.
- Highly skilling in data analytics and modelling
- Consulting background or equivalent internal transformation experience highly advantageous.
Technical
- Business analytics: Utilising people, financial and other organisational data to develop models and insights to help tackle sophisticated business problems.
- Performance Reporting: Develop Group and GTO level reporting to supervise delivery against key targets and value creation by the GTO.
- Organisational and financial modelling: Models future states and stress-tests transformation options under multiple assumptions or market conditions.
- Benchmarking & Market Intelligence: Uses internal/external benchmarks to drive continuous improvement and identify new efficiency opportunities.
