New Zealand-based | Remote-friendly | Focused primarily on the US market

$105k-$130k

Joyous replaces traditional surveys with dynamic AI conversations and real-time action.

Instead of collecting feedback, producing a report and deciding what to do weeks later, Joyous can understand what people are saying in the moment, ask smarter follow-up questions and help organisations move straight from feedback into action.

We think the old survey model is ready to be replaced. People don’t enjoy taking surveys, companies struggle to turn them into meaningful change, and AI now makes something much better possible.

That gives us a pretty exciting marketing problem.

Joyous already has an impressive product and real traction, including many of the world’s largest telecommunications companies across the US, Europe and New Zealand. The product applies well beyond telco, and our next phase is focused on building a repeatable mid-market engine around a targeted set of ICPs across industries.

We’re looking for someone to help us build it.

The role

Your job is simple to describe:

Create a consistent flow of qualified mid-market demand that Sales can convert into customers.

You’ll own the hands-on engine across paid campaigns, LinkedIn, content, landing pages, targeting, outbound support and experimentation.

We already have a strong point of view, a growing body of content, a challenger position against traditional survey platforms and early campaigns running into CX and EX audiences.

Now we need someone who can turn those ingredients into a disciplined and measurable growth machine.

You’ll know you’re winning when Sales consistently has the right people wanting to talk to them, at an acquisition cost we can scale.

Who we’re looking for

We care more about evidence that you can generate demand than seniority.

You may still be relatively early in your career but have already shown that you can build campaigns yourself, write good copy, understand what the numbers are telling you and improve quickly.

B2B SaaS, software or AI experience is particularly valuable, especially experience working from New Zealand into larger international markets.

You should be highly organised, commercially minded and comfortable being accountable for outcomes rather than activity.

Most importantly, you should naturally look for the simplest way to get the result.

A bonus, but not a requirement: if you can also turn ideas into strong visual assets yourself, that will be valuable. Experience using tools like Figma, Webflow and AI-assisted design tools to create landing pages, ads, simple campaign assets or other visuals within an existing brand and clear design guidelines would be a real plus.

How we work

Joyous is a very small, flat and tight-knit team.

You’ll work directly with the founders and the early people who built Joyous. There aren’t layers between an idea and trying it, and there aren’t layers between what you learn in the market and the people shaping our product and strategy.

You’ll have real budget to use and a lot of freedom to test what works.

We support each other, avoid unnecessary process and give people considerable flexibility over how they work.

In return, we expect people to stay organised, maintain momentum and communicate clearly about what they’ve done, what they’ve learned and what happens next.

We’re also still working some things out, and that’s part of the fun. Sometimes the highest-value thing to do won’t sit perfectly inside your job description.

What you get

  • Southern Cross health insurance
  • Six extra paid Joy Days each year, scheduled through the months where there isn’t already a public holiday
  • EAP support
  • A great home-office setup
  • Joyous merch
  • Lots of flexibility and autonomy
  • Direct access to the founders and early team
  • Real marketing budget and the opportunity to directly influence the GTM model we eventually scale

Why now

Joyous already has the technology, customers and credibility that make the opportunity real.

But we’re still early enough that there are huge questions left to answer: which ICPs respond fastest, which messages break through, which channels scale and how big this motion can become.

You get the unusual combination of something proven to work and a lot still left to discover.

You’ll have a direct hand in finding those answers and building the growth engine we scale from.

Applying

Send your CV to careers@bejoyous.ai and answer one question:

Tell us about one campaign you personally ran. What did you do, what happened and what did you learn?

A note on AI: we don’t use AI to screen applications. A human at Joyous will read every one. In return, please apply in your own words rather than asking AI to write your CV or application for you. We want to meet you, not your copilot.
