Growth & Data Analyst

Brand: Pawfy

Location: US (Remote)

Type: Full-Time/Contractor

Start Date: ASAP

About Us

Pawfy is a fast-growing US pet health and supplements brand with ambitions to become the category leader in pet wellness. Built on premium products, strong digital expertise, and a relentless focus on growth, we've built a large subscription customer base across our own website, Amazon, and Chewy.

With an established direct-to-consumer business and significant monthly marketing investment, we're looking to make every growth decision sharper, faster, and backed by data. No corporate fluff, just high standards, creative thinking, and people who get things done.

Role Overview

We are seeking a commercially minded Growth & Data Analyst to become the single source of truth for how Pawfy customers are acquired, retained, and monetized across every channel.

This is a high-impact role for someone who loves turning messy data into clear decisions. You'll own our cohort, lifetime value, and payback analysis, set the CAC targets our marketing team works to, and measure what's genuinely driving profitable growth across paid search, paid social, marketplaces, and retention.

We're looking for someone who understands that the answer is never just a dashboard. You'll know that the real value comes from asking the right commercial questions, spotting where money is being won or lost, and working closely with marketing, retention, and finance to act on what the numbers are telling us.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Own customer cohort, lifetime value, and payback analysis across all products and channels, including subscription versus one-time customers, retention curves, and 12, 18, and 24-month profitability

• Set and maintain CAC targets by product and channel, giving the performance marketing team clear break-even and profit thresholds to scale or cut spend against

• Measure true marketing effectiveness by designing and running incrementality tests, geo holdouts, and attribution analysis across Google, Meta, top-of-funnel channels, and halo effects on Amazon and Chewy

• Build and maintain reporting and dashboards covering revenue, new versus returning customers, subscription take rate, churn, discounts, refunds, AOV, and contribution margin by product and channel

• Identify growth and retention opportunities through deep analysis of subscription behavior, plan mix, bundles, product sizes, cross-sell, cancellation drivers, and pricing tests, and translate findings into clear recommendations

• Partner with marketing, retention, finance, and leadership to forecast performance, evaluate new product launches and channel experiments, and ensure every major growth decision is backed by robust data

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a growth, ecommerce, or commercial analytics role within a direct-to-consumer subscription or consumer brand

• Strong understanding of DTC and subscription economics, including CAC, LTV, payback periods, cohort retention, churn, contribution margin, and unit economics

• Hands-on experience working with Shopify, Recharge (or a similar subscription platform), and Amazon Seller Central or Amazon Ads data, with a clear understanding of how each channel's customers, reporting, and economics differ

• Advanced data skills, including SQL and spreadsheet modeling, with experience pulling and joining data from multiple sources across ecommerce, subscription, ad, and marketplace platforms

• Hands-on experience analyzing paid media performance across Google Ads and Meta, with a clear understanding of attribution limitations and how to measure true incremental impact

• Excellent commercial judgment and communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into simple, actionable recommendations for founders and non-technical teams

Bonus

• Previous experience within pet health, pet food, supplements, or other health and wellness categories

• Experience with Chewy, Amazon Subscribe & Save, ShopifyQL, Klaviyo, and GA4 data

• Experience designing geo holdout, lift, or media mix modeling studies to measure marketing incrementality

• Proficiency in Python or R, and experience with data warehousing and BI tools such as BigQuery, Looker Studio, or similar

• Experience supporting due diligence, investor reporting, or building data rooms for a fundraise or acquisition

• Experience scaling a brand across DTC, marketplaces, and pet specialty retail

Why Join Us?

• Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives

• Direct influence over how a multi-million-dollar marketing budget is allocated

• The opportunity to build Pawfy's growth analytics function from the ground up

• Autonomous working style with direct access to founders and decision-makers

• Fully remote role with a fast-moving, ambitious team

• Significant growth opportunities as we expand across DTC, marketplaces, and retail
