About Matis Matis makes investing in iconic contemporary artworks accessible through innovative club deals, focused on “blue chip” artists who have profoundly shaped the history of art — including Andy Warhol, Yves Klein, Jean Dubuffet, and Yayoi Kusama. With acquisition prices between roughly $550,000 and $5.5 million, the works we select are recognized by museums, international collectors, and the world’s leading galleries. They are accessible for investment in our club deals starting at approximately $22,000. Investors receive convertible notes that make them co-owners of the artwork. Once acquired, the work is entrusted by Matis to a network of galleries specialized in the relevant artist, capable of placing it with the right collector at market value. After resale — with a target average horizon of 24 months — investors recover their principal plus any capital gain (not guaranteed). Learn more at www.matis.club . Matis operates in an investment class — contemporary blue-chip art created by major 20th-century artists — that has historically shown low correlation with other asset classes during periods of financial stress, and that appreciated at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 9% between 2000 and 2022, outperforming the S&P 500 over the same period. Since our commercial launch in May 2023, Matis has finalized nearly 30 club deals, valued between approximately $550,000 and $3.6 million, on works by Andy Warhol, Yves Klein, Simon Hantaï, Jean Dubuffet, François-Xavier Lalanne, and Yayoi Kusama.
