About Datavations
Datavations is a leading New York-based data and AI software company specializing in the $2.3 trillion building materials industry. Our platform, powered by advanced Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, provides manufacturers with a data-driven approach to better service customers and grow their relationships with key accounts. By simplifying massive datasets into actionable business insight, we help businesses make data-driven decisions to optimize pricing, inventory, and product assortment.
Our Values
Customer Obsession: We are integrated in the industry with a customer-first obsession.
Proactive Ownership: We have agency for our actions and embody an entrepreneurial mindset.
Bias for Action: We maintain momentum with a can-do attitude; we value progress over perfection.
Eager to Grow: We stay curious and hungry to learn, viewing every failure with humility as an opportunity to grow.
Foster Collaboration: We work across boundaries with quiet competence, welcoming diverse perspectives and offering help unselfishly.
The Role
We're hiring a Growth Marketing Manager to own content strategy, event execution, and data storytelling across Datavations' external presence. This person will plan and produce the editorial content that keeps us visible in the building materials trade press, run the events that put us in front of the right people at the right time, and turn our proprietary data outputs into narratives that manufacturers actually want to read.
You'll report to the Director of Marketing and work closely with Sales, Data Science, and Product. The role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: you'll decide what story to tell, then build and ship it yourself.
Responsibilities & Skills
Content Strategy & Production
- Own the editorial calendar for industry trade publications and coordinate submissions, deadlines, and approvals
- Write and edit articles, blog posts, one-pagers, and case studies that translate our data into stories manufacturers care about
- Manage the company blog and website content pipeline, including SEO-informed topics and publishing cadence
- Develop content themes tied to industry seasonality, product launches, and trade show cycles
Events & Trade Shows
- Plan and execute Datavations' presence at industry trade shows and conferences, including booth logistics, speaking opportunities, and hosted experiences
- Own event strategy end-to-end: format, budget, attendee targeting, vendor coordination, and post-event follow-up
- Identify and evaluate new event opportunities based on audience alignment and ROI potential
- Coordinate with Sales on event-driven pipeline generation and lead capture
Data Storytelling & Thought Leadership
- Turn structured data outputs from our platform into compelling narratives for external audiences
- Develop thought leadership content that positions Datavations as the intelligence layer for building materials manufacturers
- Create presentation materials for webinars, conference talks, and customer-facing sessions
- Collaborate with the Data Science team to identify publishable insights and trends
Brand & Marketing Operations
- Maintain brand consistency across all external touchpoints (website, social, print, email)
- Support email campaigns and nurture sequences in partnership with the sales development team
- Track content and event performance metrics and report on what's working
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- 3-7 years in content marketing, event marketing, or a related B2B marketing role
- Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio of published work (trade press, blogs, case studies, or similar)
- Experience planning and executing trade shows or industry events from start to finish
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, audience-appropriate narratives
- Familiarity with the building materials, home improvement, or manufacturing supply chain (or a demonstrated ability to learn technical industries quickly)
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment with limited hand-holding
Preferred
- Experience with CMS platforms (Webflow, WordPress, or similar)
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Background in retail, CPG, or industrial B2B marketing
- Understanding of SEO fundamentals and content analytics
- Experience creating content from data or analytical outputs
- Knowledge of the home improvement retail channel (Home Depot, Lowe's, independent dealers)
Why Join Datavations
Impact at Scale: Shape how data and AI influence a $2.3 trillion industry. The content and events you produce will reach the people who decide what goes on the shelves at the nation's largest retailers.
Autonomy & Ownership: You'll own the full content and events function, not execute someone else's playbook. Bring ideas, run with them, measure what works.
Collaborative Culture: Work alongside a team that values positivity, proactive ownership, and continuous learning. No politics, no bureaucracy.
Professional Development: Exposure to AI-powered analytics, modern marketing tools, and a front-row seat to how data is reshaping a massive traditional industry.
Compensation
The expected range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000 depending on experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities. Total compensation may also include equity, performance bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Location: Hybrid — NYC office 3 days/week
We're committed to paying competitively and equitably, and we regularly review our compensation structures to ensure they align with the market and support our values.
