About the Team & The Challenge

We are seeking a highly proactive Tax Analyst with expertise in indirect taxes to help the team with indirect taxes in Brazil. You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring our company’s fiscal compliance, identifying optimization opportunities.

This role supports the tax compliance in Brazil, ensuring accurate invoicing and tax calculations, timely filings, and robust controls.

Your strategic and proactive approach will be critical to the success of both the team and the company.

1. Tax Compliance & Service Invoice Management

  • Service Classification: Analyze the correct service codes and municipal tax rates to prevent overpayment or tax evasion, including the changes of the Indirect Tax Reform.
  • NFS-e Validation: Support the intake and issuance of Service Invoices across multiple municipalities, ensuring all electronic files (XML/PDF) are properly archived and integrated, including the new layout related to the Brazil Tax Reform.

2. Analysis & Reporting

  • Municipal Tax Advisory: Act as the subject matter expert on varying municipal tax laws, providing guidance on the place of taxation.
  • Reconciliation: Support monthly reconciliations between the ERP, the Municipal Tax Portals, and the General Ledger.

3. Audit Support

  • Audit Readiness: Support the preparation of papers and supporting documentation for internal, external, and municipal tax audits.

Strong Required Skills

  • Strong ownership and ability to navigate ambiguity, with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset in a Latin American, fast-changing regulatory environment.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with global and cross-functional teams.

  • High level of autonomy, capable of driving deliverables end-to-end while aligning with global standards and timelines.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and culturally aware profile, comfortable operating in a regional (LatAm) structure with global interfaces.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Law.
  • Experience in Brazilian indirect tax compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Totvs, or similar).
  • Excel skills.
