GTM Engineer

Who we are

Good Authority provides a ‘GTM engineer-as-a-service’ model to startups and scale-ups reaching infection points in their growth. We build & run the systems that help them move faster and operate more efficiently.

The role

GTM Engineer is a fairly new term. To us it is a hybrid of technical chops, commercial acumen, a product mindset and an always on curiosity.

The day-to-day is building automations in code, creating and maintaining agents, surfacing the right data to the right people at the right time, helping people operate more efficiently and generally supporting sales and marketing operators get more out of their day. We are technical marketers or commercial engineers, depending on what day it is.

The role is remote first but we spend some time office time together in Auckland & Sydney or working out of our client offices as needed.

Who you are

This role requires a personality that is constantly looking for how to make the ship run better.

• The ideal candidate might come from an engineering background that wants to be more commercial or a commercial background that has become more technical.
• AI is the tailwind driving our business, we’re looking for someone who is equal parts AI pilled and AI pragmatist. A lot of the time, plain old deterministic code works just as well as an LLM.
• This role is client facing and very hands on, you will have direct contact day-to-day with the founders of our clients and us.
• We’re open to any experience level including new graduates. We will provide ample support and a platform for rapid growth if you bring curiosity, tenacity & ability to communicate effectively. Your favourite phrase will become “I don’t know, but i’ll find out”
• If you want to specialise in a single area or need to have a detailed spec to start a task, this probably isn’t the job for you.
