Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data workstreams for Guidewire implementation, upgrade, cloud migration, and modernization initiatives.
- Define and execute data migration strategies, frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure accurate, complete, and reliable data transfer.
- Establish data governance practices, data quality standards, reconciliation procedures, and validation frameworks.
- Lead and mentor data analysts, ETL developers, and migration specialists throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Guidewire Solution Architects, functional teams, and business stakeholders to guide data architecture and integration decisions.
- Assess legacy systems and lead source-to-target data mapping, data profiling, and migration planning activities.
- Design and oversee extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for migrating policy, claims, billing, customer, producer, and financial data.
- Define migration waves, cutover plans, rollback strategies, and reconciliation frameworks.
- Manage mock conversions, dress rehearsals, production cutovers, and post-migration validation activities.
- Provide expertise in Guidewire data models and data relationships, ensuring effective integration between Guidewire platforms and upstream or downstream applications.
- Support Guidewire DataHub, InfoCenter, Guidewire Cloud Data Platform, and associated reporting solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across environments.
- Work with business subject matter experts to understand insurance, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with testing teams to support data validation, reconciliation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Present migration readiness, data quality metrics, project progress, and delivery risks to senior leadership.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and issue resolution across multiple teams.
- Define data quality KPIs, monitoring frameworks, reconciliation procedures, and audit mechanisms.
- Ensure compliance with insurance industry regulations and organizational data policies.
- Identify and resolve data anomalies during migration and post-production support.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years working on Guidewire data and integration initiatives.
- At least 5 years of experience with Guidewire implementations.
- Proven experience leading large-scale insurance data migration and conversion programs.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire applications, data models, and integration architectures.
- Experience developing and executing data migration strategies, source-to-target mapping, ETL processes, data reconciliation, and validation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes, including policy administration, claims management, billing and collections, underwriting, and regulatory reporting.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, managing delivery risks, and communicating technical progress to business stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Experience leading Guidewire Cloud migration or modernization projects.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms, enterprise data warehousing, and insurance reporting ecosystems.
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and data quality monitoring at enterprise scale.
- Familiarity with insurance regulatory requirements, audit processes, and compliance standards.
- Guidewire Applications: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, Guidewire Cloud Platform.
- Guidewire Data & Reporting: DataHub, InfoCenter, Guidewire Cloud Data Platform, reporting ecosystems.
- Data Migration & Conversion: Migration strategy, legacy system assessment, source-to-target mapping, mock conversions, cutover planning, rollback strategies, and reconciliation.
- ETL & Data Integration: ETL development, extraction and transformation processes, upstream and downstream application integration.
- Data Quality & Governance: Data validation frameworks, data integrity, quality KPIs, monitoring, audit mechanisms, and regulatory compliance.
- Databases & Querying: SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
- Cloud & Data Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, AWS Data Services.
- ETL Tools: Informatica, Talend.
- Insurance Domain: Property & Casualty insurance, policy administration, claims management, billing and collections, underwriting, and regulatory reporting.
- Leadership & Delivery: Team mentoring, stakeholder management, risk and dependency management, project governance, and executive reporting.
