Role Description The HCI Research Assistant (Volunteer, Remote) will support research activities related to Human-Computer Interaction, user experience, and digital interfaces for impact-driven projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, assisting in the design of user studies, preparing research materials (e.g., surveys, interview guides, prototypes), and collecting qualitative and quantitative data. The role also involves organizing and documenting study results, contributing to data analysis, and helping prepare presentations, reports, or publications for internal and external stakeholders. The Research Assistant will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, participate in remote meetings, and maintain clear communication regarding project progress and timelines.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Research and Analytical Skills to support HCI studies, literature reviews, and problem-solving.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members, engage with participants, and present findings clearly.
• Candidates should possess Data Analysis skills, including basic statistical understanding and the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative results.
• Candidates should possess relevant Laboratory Skills or experience with usability testing environments, experimental protocols, or digital research tools where applicable.
• Familiarity with Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI principles, or cognitive psychology is beneficial.
• Experience with research tools (e.g., survey platforms, data analysis software, prototyping tools) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet agreed deadlines.
• Enrollment in or completion of a degree in HCI, Computer Science, Psychology, Design, or a related field is preferred but not strictly required.
