The ICCT is looking for an intern to join our office in Beijing, working to support the transition of the transport sector to zero-emission technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit sector.
You will:
- Contribute to research projects that analyze and communicate the status of environmental transportation policies adopted in China
- Support conducting statistical analysis under guidance from ICCT's research staff
- Support report translation and outreach material drafting works
- Deliver ad-hoc tasks as needed
You have:
- Senior undergraduate or graduate student. Preferable major in Transportation, Environment
Science & Engineering, Automotive, or other related disciplines.
- Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with databases using statistical languages/softwares such as R, Python and Tableau
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese, strong ability in spoken and written English.
- Ideally with experiences or knowledge in transportation planning, vehicle emissions, automotive technologies, or environmental data analysis.
- Good understanding on climate change and transportation will be preferred, enthusiasms on working with researchers and international colleagues.
- Capability to work at least 3 days per week, and on-site work in ICCT Beijing office at least 2 day per week. The intern will be at least 6 month.
Our benefits
The internship contract will have a duration of 6 months, with potential extension to 12 months. You will work in our Beijing office and report to our China heavy duty vehicle program staff. ICCT will provide a laptop and other office equipment as needed. We are offering a salary of CNY 3,362 a month (24 hours a week), or an amount proportional to the workload allowed by your university.
