Job Summary The role provides specialist Human Capital functional strategy and business management support by translating Human Capital strategic priorities into structured plans, execution disciplines, governance routines, performance insights, and stakeholder-ready outputs. It supports the planning, coordination, tracking, and reporting of priority initiatives, enabling effective decision-making, disciplined execution, and alignment across Human Capital and business stakeholders. Job Description Key Focus Areas: Strategy formulation and planning Business management and governance Execution tracking and performance insights Stakeholder engagement and executive support Strategic coordination and integration Research, benchmarking, and thought leadership Key Accountabilities: Strategy Formulation and Planning: Influence and support the development, refinement, and translation of strategic priorities into clear plans, objectives, delivery milestones, and measurable outcomes. Coordinate strategic planning inputs across Human Capital and relevant business stakeholders to support alignment and prioritisation. Develop structured business plans, implementation roadmaps, and planning artefacts that enable disciplined execution and leadership oversight. Identify strategic risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and opportunities that may impact delivery and escalate insights for decision-making. Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, external benchmarks, market developments, and internal insights across the Human Capital value chain to inform strategic priorities, strengthen planning assumptions, and support future-focused strategy development. Business Management and Governance: Support business management routines, including governance calendars, leadership agendas, meeting packs, action tracking, and decision logs. Maintain structured governance disciplines that enable transparency, accountability, and effective follow-through on priorities. Coordinate inputs for key forums and leadership engagements to ensure priorities, decisions, risks, and actions are clearly articulated. Support the preparation of Board, Group Exco, HC Exco, and leadership materials by consolidating inputs and shaping clear narratives. Oversee and drive integration and coordination across Centres of Excellence, Business Partnering, and HC COO to deliver the Human Capital Strategy through aligned planning and execution rhythms. Enable leadership capability by embedding planning cadences, governance routines, and execution disciplines that support effective strategy delivery. Execution Tracking and Performance Insights: Track progress against agreed strategic priorities, delivery milestones, performance measures, risks, dependencies, and issues. Develop dashboards, reports, trackers, and leadership updates that provide clear visibility of execution progress and required interventions. Synthesize data, qualitative inputs, and business insights into concise performance narratives and recommendations. Identify areas requiring management attention, escalation, or reprioritisation to support timely decision-making and delivery discipline. Lead industry insights through a comprehensive Pan Africa data view, enabled by integrated reporting dashboards that support leadership decision-making. Support continuous improvement by reviewing delivery performance, governance effectiveness, and lessons learnt across priority initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement and Executive Support: Prepare executive-ready briefing notes, presentations, decision papers, reports, and stakeholder materials that support leadership alignment and engagement. Translate complex information into clear messages, decisions, risks, actions, and recommendations for senior stakeholders. Coordinate stakeholder inputs and feedback to support the development of coherent, consistent, and credible leadership materials. Build trusted working relationships across Human Capital, business, and enabling functions to support collaboration and delivery alignment. Qualification: Post Graduate Degree: Honours Degree, Post Graduate Diploma and Professional Qualifications. Experience: 10+ years of experience in Financial Services, including at least 4 years in executive roles across strategy and/or transformation in large, complex enterprises related to HC Strategy. Competencies: Strategic thinking: Ability to design strategies aligned with commercial and people priorities. Strategy: Expert in Human Capital Strategy formulation and deep insights into HC specialists areas. Commercial Flair: Strong understanding of business drivers and the financial impact of employee experience decision. Influence & Collaboration: Skilled at building consensus and driving change across diverse stakeholder groups. Analytical Excellence: Proficient in data analysis, financial modelling, market benchmarking, and employee engagement metrics. Adaptability: Comfortable navigating complex, fast-changing environment across African markets.
