Program Manager Job Function: Programs & Services Business Unit: Wabtec Digital Mine Reports to: PMO Manager, Digital Mine Location: Johannesburg, South Africa How will you make a difference? We are looking for a dedicated and personable Program Manager to lead and support a portfolio of Collision Avoidance System (CAS) installation and service programs across South Africa. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of complex customer projects, ensuring that safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service. You must be organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working with diverse teams. You will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. What will your typical day look like? Lead the day-to-day management of CAS installation, commissioning, and service programs throughout the project lifecycle. Defining the program governance (controls) Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress Managing the program’s budget Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies Managing and utilizing resources across projects Managing stakeholders’ communication Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” with the aid of the business change manager Managing the main program documentations such as the program initiation document. What do we want to know about you? Desired Qualifications and Requirements: Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management Strong leadership and management skills Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions Other Requirements: Flexible work hours to accommodate varying time zones Occasional travel to customer sites (including international regions) app. 25 - 40 % A current driver’s license is required Successful candidates will be employed under local employment conditions and must already satisfy local employment/work permit and residency regulations. *Please note that we do not accept agency candidate submissions without a formalized agreement with Wabtec Talent Acquisition.
