Are you an experienced Head of Sales or Head of Account Management who knows how to lead from the front and develop a high-performance culture? Perhaps you currently lead a national account management or sales team within Retail Finance or a broader B2B2C Financial Services environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility of an established sales team and portfolio of accounts, whilst bringing your own ideas and improvements to the table, ultimately driving sustainable performance.

We're looking for someone who builds scalable systems and ways of working as our business continues to grow. You'll provide structure, direction, coaching and development to your team. You'll bring a high level of team organisation and a performance mindset that balances growth opportunities with strong risk awareness.

At Castle Trust Bank, we pride ourselves on being a fintech challenger bank, providing specialist property mortgages, retail finance lending and savings accounts to a variety of customers.

We’re looking for a commercially astute and inspiring Head of Account Management to lead our national, field-based Account Management team within Omni Commercial Sales. You’ll oversee our relationships with existing retail partners, take ownership of the commercial performance of the portfolio and ensure we continue to deliver strong outcomes for our business, our partners and their customers.

This is a high-profile opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on partnership management. You’ll be the senior commercial contact for key national retailers, lead major negotiations and create an environment in which talented Account Managers can perform, develop and succeed.

This is a field-based role involving travel across the UK, including travel into our London and Basingstoke offices.

The role and what you’ll lead and deliver

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing, field-based Account Management team.
  • Delivering agreed financial performance measures across the team, including applications, loan originations and margin maintenance.
  • Acting as the visible senior partnership contact for key retailer accounts.
  • Leading quarterly business reviews, strategic presentations and commercial negotiations with director and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Developing and overseeing the retailer engagement framework to support partnership growth, effective relationship management and positive customer outcomes.
  • Owning and overseeing retailer contract management, supporting effective resource planning, future loan originations and commercial risk management.
  • Building strong relationships with senior colleagues across the business to improve data insight, product development, skills training and credit risk optimisation.
  • Supporting the management of retailer-related risk events, business change, projects and regulatory developments.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the point-of-sale retail finance market, including new entrants, product developments and consumer trends.
  • Turning market and portfolio insight into clear, actionable recommendations that support continued commercial success.

What you’ll bring

You’ll be an established commercial leader who can balance growth, relationship management and risk. You’ll be comfortable leading a national team while personally influencing senior decision-makers across complex retailer partnerships.

In addition, you’ll have the following experience:

Essential

  • A proven record of successfully leading national sales or account management teams within a B2B2C financial services environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and colleague development capability.
  • Experience building and maintaining commercially valuable relationships with major accounts.
  • The confidence and credibility to engage, present and negotiate with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of the commercial drivers behind complex deals and negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to translate commercial and market insight into practical business recommendations.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work across functions to deliver shared commercial objectives.
  • Robust knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment within financial services.
  • A strong commitment to delivering good and sustainable outcomes for customers.

Desirable

  • Experience within point-of-sale or retail finance.
  • Previous experience using Salesforce.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • A relevant business-focused degree.
