About Orbital Matter
Orbital Matter is the first company to 3D print on orbit, in vacuum. We build solar panels for orbital data centers and AI satellites, printing the structure in orbit so the size of the solar array is no longer capped by an unfolding mechanism. Next up is sending a 5 kW panel to space and closing the first pilot contracts with satellite constellation operators.
We are a small team in Warsaw doing things nobody has done before. What you work on here flies to space and you find out in orbit whether you were right.
The role
You will work directly with the founders to build and drive our commercial growth. You will turn our in-space manufacturing capabilities into customer pipelines, strategic partnerships and commercial contracts with key players in the European and US space sector.
What you'll do
- Build & execute GTM strategy: Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for Western Europe and US targeting prime contractors and space agencies.
- Close strategic commercial deals: Lead end-to-end sales cycles for high-value contracts, pilot projects and technology demonstration missions.
- Define pricing & business models: Work closely with the founders to structure pricing, commercial terms and service models.
- Manage institutional & partner relations: Leverage existing relationships with ESA, national space agencies and EU defense/space initiatives to drive co-development and commercial programs.
- Pipeline & CRM management: Build and maintain accurate pipeline tracking, customer profiles and deal forecasting to ensure transparent reporting to founders and investors.
- Represent the company: Pitch Orbital Matter at major aerospace conferences, industry symposia and executive customer meetings across Europe and US.
- Build the BD team: As commercial traction accelerates, hire, mentor and lead a high-performing BD and sales team across key markets.
What we're looking for
- Proven track record: 7+ years of executive business development, enterprise sales, or strategic partnerships experience in the space, aerospace or deeptech sectors in Europe and US.
- Established network: Active C-level and VP-level network across Western European and American space primes, satellite operators and space agencies.
- Deal-closing capability: Demonstrated track record of structuring and closing complex B2B/B2G contracts, technology demonstration agreements or consortium deals.
- Executive communication: Native-level or fluent English with outstanding presentation, negotiation and written communication skills suitable for high-stakes meetings.
- Commercial & financial acumen: Strong fluency with business modeling, contract structuring, budget planning and sanity-checking financial projections.
- Ownership & autonomy: Highly self-driven and organized, able to navigate unstructured environments, handle tight deadlines and solve complex problems independently.
Nice-to-have
- Language skills: Fluency in French or German
- Technical background: Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Physics or related technical field, allowing you to easily discuss 3D printing and orbital mechanics with technical stakeholders.
- Defense & Dual-Use experience: Familiarity with European defense space programs, EDF (European Defence Fund), or dual-use procurement frameworks.
- Startup / Deeptech background: Prior experience in a fast-growing hardware startup, VC-backed company, management or aerospace consulting.
What we offer
- Contract - B2B or employment contract, full-time
- Compensation - €8,000-€12,000 / month + performance-based bonus
- Remote work or possible hybrid in our Warsaw office
- ESOP programme from day 1
- Start - December’26 / January’27
