About This Opportunity

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're dedicated to helping Britain prosper and are seeking a Head of Business Performance & Delivery to play a key role in shaping how Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) delivers effective business management, organisational effectiveness and oversight of service provision to the non-ring-fenced bank.

This is a highly visible senior leadership role within the Strategic Enablement team, accountable for end-to-end business performance across CIB and responsible for owning and evolving the CIB Balanced Scorecard, Board and Executive reporting, operating model, organisation design and organisational effectiveness, service provision, location strategy and business controls.

Working closely with senior leaders across CIB, Strategic Enablement, LBCM and Group functions, you'll provide leadership, insight and challenge to support informed decision-making and ensure the organisation drives its strategic objectives and delivery outcomes in a scalable, resilient and structured way.

The role will have a focus on:

  • Owning end-to-end business performance across CIB, ensuring clear visibility of performance, service delivery, capacity, dependencies, risks and outcomes.
  • Leading the development and evolution of the CIB Balanced Scorecard, Board metrics and executive reporting, ensuring clear, consistent and meaningful insight to support decision-making.
  • Defining and embedding operating models and organisation design approaches that enable efficient, resilient and well-controlled delivery of CIB priorities.
  • Providing senior oversight of service delivery into LBCM, ensuring CIB-provided services are delivered to agreed quality and resilience standards.
  • Establishing strong business management disciplines, including performance measures, scorecards, service measures, issue management and governance forums, to support effective performance oversight and decision-making.
  • Acting as a senior leader within Strategic Enablement, providing leadership support, challenge and oversight to ensure effective delivery and alignment to CIB priorities.
  • Being accountable for the operational control environment across the COO Business Unit, with oversight of the Business Unit Control capability and associated first-line risk and control framework.

What We Need From You

Business Performance & Insight

Significant experience leading business performance within a large, complex organisation. You'll have a strong track record of developing and evolving enterprise performance management approaches, scorecards and management information that provide meaningful insight into business performance, risks, opportunities and delivery outcomes.

Performance Frameworks & Executive Reporting

Experience developing and maintaining reporting for senior leadership, Boards and executive committees, alongside performance measures that support effective decision-making. You'll be comfortable translating complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.

Operating Model & Organisational Effectiveness

Experience assessing, designing and embedding operating models and organisational structures that support effective delivery, clear accountability and organisational resilience. This may include organisation design, governance frameworks, service delivery models, organisational effectiveness and strategic transformation initiatives.

Service Provision & Delivery Oversight

Experience leading complex service delivery arrangements, with the ability to balance performance, quality, resilience, governance and business expectations. Experience of service provision or complex internal service delivery models within a regulated environment would be beneficial.

Strategic Leadership & Influence

A proven ability to build credibility and influence at senior levels, providing constructive challenge and recommendations that support strategic priorities and organisational outcomes. You'll be comfortable operating across complex matrixed environments, working across teams, functions and competing priorities.

Governance, Risk & Control Leadership

Experience leading within robust governance and control environments, with the ability to establish effective governance arrangements, support clear ownership of actions and communicate risk and control matters clearly to senior audiences.

Financial Services Experience

Knowledge of financial services and regulated environments would be advantageous. Experience of service provision between ring-fenced and non-ring-fenced banking entities, or a comparable complex organisational structure, would be beneficial.
