Head of Business Platforms
As the Head of Business Platforms, you will lead BE-terna’s business application landscape, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and continuously evolving solutions that support our business and digitalization goals. You will report to the Director of IT and work closely with business departments, Digitalization, IT Governance, Finance, and other group functions.
You will own the application service-ownership model from build to run, covering key business platforms such as ERP, DMS, CRM, HRIS, and ServiceNow. Together with your team and external partners, you will ensure effective application, data, and integration management, with a strong focus on business value, service quality, and continuous improvement.

- Lead and develop BE-terna’s Business Platforms function, ensuring clear ownership, effective service delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Own the lifecycle, roadmap, support model, and service quality of key business applications, including ERP, DMS, CRM, HRIS, and ServiceNow.
- Own the ServiceNow platform as a business application, including workflows, service catalog, CMDB, automation, and AI-supported routing.
- Partner with business departments to understand needs and translate them into effective solutions, priorities, and delivery timelines.
- Lead the data and integration roadmap, including application architecture and analytics capabilities.
- Steer application vendors and external partners, ensuring delivery quality, effective releases, and continuous improvement.
- Define and monitor KPIs for the domain, driving improvements in speed, quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Ensure application knowledge is documented and retained within BE-terna.
- Build and develop the Application Service Owner practice, fostering clear ownership and collaboration.
- Lead, coach, and develop the team, creating an environment of teamwork, open communication, and continuous development.
- Contribute to resource and budget planning and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

#yoursuperpowers
- Proven experience in business applications, application management, IT service management, or a comparable leadership role, ideally in an international organization.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application landscapes, ideally including ERP, CRM, DMS, HRIS, and ServiceNow.
- Experience managing application lifecycles, roadmaps, support models, and service delivery from build to run.
- Good understanding of data, integrations, and application architecture.
- Experience steering vendors and external partners.
- Strong business-facing communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
- Proven leadership experience, with a focus on team building, coaching, and mentoring.
- Strong prioritisation skills and a pragmatic, structured approach to balancing business and technical demands.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Desirable:
- Experience with ServiceNow, including workflows, service catalog, CMDB, automation, or AI-supported routing.
- Experience with data, analytics, and enterprise integration environments.
- ITIL 4 certification or comparable experience.
