Head of Commercial & Estimating - Data Centres

📍 Ireland (Remote with occasional travel to Europe and the US)

I'm partnering with a growing engineering contractor delivering complex projects across Ireland , the US and Europe. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a commercially focused leader to take ownership of their Commercial and Estimating function.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, leading commercial delivery, supporting estimating activities, and driving project performance from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial and estimating function across multiple live projects
• Manage cost control, forecasting, CVRs, cashflow and commercial reporting
• Oversee procurement, subcontract management, variations and final accounts
• Support and develop a growing team of Quantity Surveyors and Estimators
• Work closely with project delivery teams to maximise profitability and mitigate risk
• Ensure robust commercial controls and processes are implemented and maintained
• Provide commercial input at tender and pre-construction stages

Ideal Background

• Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related degree
• Strong experience within M&E, engineering, critical infrastructure or data centre environments
• Proven track record managing commercial and estimating functions
• Hands-on experience with forecasting, cost management, claims, variations and contract administration
• Strong leadership skills with experience developing commercial teams
• Data centre project experience highly desirable
• Ireland-based with the ability to travel occasionally when required
