About The Role

A fast-growing, multi-market European scale-up is hiring a Head of Communications to own how the company tells its story — externally and internally. You'll report directly to the CEO and turn strategy into a narrative that partners, investors, media, talent, and the team actually feel. Build role: shape a category leader's reputation from the inside.

What You'll Own

• Communications strategy across all markets, in lockstep with CEO and leadership
• Press and media relations — build journalist relationships, land the stories, manage agency partners per market
• Social presence and tone of voice — turn scale and performance into content that pulls in talent, partners, and customers
• Internal comms across a distributed team — company updates, CEO messaging, the rituals that keep a fast-growing company aligned
• Complex, technical, operational business made simple — in a press release, a LinkedIn post, an all-hands, an investor narrative
• One direct report + a network of agencies across markets — set the brief, hold the bar, keep the story coherent
• Brand and reputation management, including high-stakes moments
• Comms measurement — share of voice, reach, sentiment, tied to commercial and talent goals
  
  

What You Bring

• 8+ years in communications: PR, social, and internal comms — ideally agency + in-house, in a scale-up or high-growth environment
• International Experience from enterprise to high-growth tech companies is a must
• Storytelling with a track record of shifting perception, not just producing activity
• Hands-on PR/media relations experience, managing agencies across multiple markets
• Experience building or running internal comms for a distributed team
• Comfort operating directly with a CEO and leadership team
• Fluent English; Portuguese a strong plus; other languages a bonus
• Player-coach: strategic enough to set direction, hands-on enough to write the post yourself
