Role Description

The Head of Community is a part-time hybrid role based in Switzerland, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for designing and implementing community strategies that foster engagement, belonging, and meaningful connections across members, mentors, and partners. Day-to-day tasks include organizing events and programs, managing online and offline community spaces, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. The Head of Community will coordinate mentorship and educational initiatives, support members’ well-being, and ensure that community activities reflect FLS’s mission and values. This role also involves collaborating with the core team, tracking community metrics, and continuously improving the member experience.

Qualifications

• Strong Community Engagement and Community Development skills to build, nurture, and grow an active member base.
• Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to facilitate dialogue, share information clearly, and represent FLS with professionalism.
• Proven Program Management capabilities to design, coordinate, and evaluate events, mentorship programs, and community initiatives.
• Demonstrated Team Leadership skills to guide volunteers or staff, foster collaboration, and align community efforts with organizational goals.
• Experience working with leadership, mentorship, or professional development communities is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with hybrid work settings, digital collaboration tools, and managing both in-person and online activities.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to prioritize in a part-time environment.
• Fluency in English; additional Swiss national languages are an advantage.
• Understanding of inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory practices in community and leadership contexts.
