Head of Data

For an international organisation, we are looking for an experienced Data leader who can turn data into measurable business value.

You will work closely with the CEO, CTO and senior leadership, connecting business strategy, product, technology and data. Your role is to shape the organisation-wide data strategy and help create a culture in which data and AI become part of everyday decision-making.

What you'll do

• Define and drive the overall Data vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Translate business challenges into data, analytics and AI opportunities.
• Build a strong data-driven culture and increase data literacy across the organisation.
• Establish and further develop data governance, including data quality, security, privacy and responsible AI.
• Shape the organisation's data architecture, tooling and analytics capabilities together with technical teams.
• Explore and scale the use of Generative and Agentic AI to make data and insights more accessible.
• Develop the operating model between central data teams and individual business units.
• Work closely with senior leaders, product teams, engineers and data specialists to turn strategy into action.

What you bring

• 6+ years of leadership experience in Data, Analytics, Data Science, BI or Data Governance.
• Experience developing and implementing an organisation-wide data strategy.
• Experience working across multiple business units, countries or a decentralised organisation.
• Strong ability to connect business needs with data and technology.
• Good understanding of modern data architecture, analytics and AI.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy and responsible AI.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with Agile, DataOps or DevOps environments.
• Technical understanding of areas such as data platforms, SQL, Python, ETL/ELT or data warehousing is a plus.

You'll be joining at a point where the foundations are being built. Different business units have different levels of data maturity, while AI is rapidly changing what is possible.

Your challenge is to bring these worlds together: create one clear direction without taking away the entrepreneurial freedom of individual businesses.

How do you move from isolated data initiatives and AI experiments to a scalable way of working? How do you make reliable insights available to people who aren't data specialists? And how do you make sure AI creates real business value rather than becoming technology for technology's sake?
