We are advising a PE-backed, internationally active industrial technology group undergoing a strategic transformation and global expansion. To strengthen its finance leadership in Germany, we are seeking an experienced and hands-on Head of Finance to take full responsibility for the German entities and act as a key interface to the Group CFO and international management. This is a role with both operational depth and strategic exposure, suited for a candidate who combines strong technical expertise with an international mindset. You will lead all finance activities for the German operations within a multi-entity international group structure. Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will serve as the primary finance counterpart in Germany and play a central role in financial steering, reporting, and process development. Responsibilities Full ownership of financial accounting, controlling, and reporting for German entities Management of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes under HGB, with alignment to IFRS requirements at group level Preparation and coordination of reporting packages and consolidation inputs Delivery of monthly management reporting including performance analysis (margins, working capital, cash flow) Active participation in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Close coordination with international finance teams across Europe, the United States, and Asia-Pacific Responsibility for ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) from a finance perspective, including optimization of processes and controls Oversight of treasury, liquidity management, banking relationships, and compliance (tax, VAT, statutory requirements) Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; additional professional qualification is an advantage +7 of relevant experience in international industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments or consultancy (e.g. Big 4 Transaction Services & Audit) Strong expertise in German GAAP (HGB), financial reporting, and consolidation of multiple legal entities Proven experience operating within an international group structure and reporting at senior level Solid background across both accounting and controlling disciplines Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable Fluent in German and professionally proficient in English Hands-on, pragmatic approach combined with strong analytical and communication skills Key finance leadership position within a growing international group.
