Head of Financial Reporting and Controlling

We are seeking a hands-on, dynamic, and experienced Head of Financial Reporting & Controlling to report directly to the CFO. At Obilet, Türkiye's leading travel ticketing platform, you will own all reporting, accounting and controlling processes at both strategic and operational levels, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of the company's financials while driving the automation and digitalization of financial processes. Main responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain the company's core financial models (Working Capital, Net Cash, Distributable Profit) and multi-horizon forecast models Analyze the consistency of key financial dynamics and deliver decision-support analyses for Management and the Group Ensure the Group reporting is delivered on time, accurately, and in full compliance with the Group reporting standards Prepare financial analyses requested by the Group and act as the main point of contact for financial and accounting inquiries from the Group finance team Own the accuracy of accounting records across all products and categories, and maintain a consistent data flow from accounting records through to management reports Design and implement financial internal control mechanisms, establishing control points and monitoring their effectiveness across financial processes Lead projects to simplify and automate financial processes, keeping internal financial reports synchronized and consistent with one another Plan and coordinate the month-end close process, performing closing controls to ensure the accuracy of the financials Assess critical accounting accounts, coordinate necessary adjustments, and lead close review meetings with the CFO Drive the finance side of ERP and financial systems development projects Manage reconciliation between company books and operational systems, and verify that cash movements align with financial records Interpret new accounting standards (TFRS/IFRS), evaluate their financial impact, and drive their implementation Lead, develop, and manage the accounting and financial reporting team, including performance management To be successful in this role, you need to have: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field Minimum 13 years of experience, including at least 5 years of managerial experience Audit background is a plus (preferably Big 4) Familiarity with digital platforms, e-commerce, travel and tourism industry, or marketplace business models Experience in start-ups or fast-paced, high-growth environments Advanced knowledge of TFRS/IFRS standards (CPA/SMMM certification is a plus) Strong financial modeling skills and advanced proficiency in Excel Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools Experience working closely with senior leadership teams Required skills: High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Proactive, solution-oriented, and business-minded approach Aptitude for process improvement and automation projects, with a digitalization mindset Fluent in Turkish and English (written & spoken)
