Department: Global Marketing
Join an Award Winning Team. Work with World-Famous Brands.
Are you a strategic marketing leader with a passion for building global brands, delivering commercially focused campaigns and developing high-performing teams?
We're looking for a talented and commercially minded Head of Global Marketing to lead our Global Marketing team. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within an award-winning international company while working alongside some of the world's most recognised brands, including Disney, Warner Bros., Netflix, Nintendo and Minecraft.
If you enjoy turning insight into integrated global marketing strategies, leading creative and digital excellence, and partnering across sales, product development and licensing, we'd love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
As our Head of Global Marketing, you'll lead the Global Marketing team and report to the Senior Vice President of Global Licensing, Marketing & Product.
You'll set the global marketing vision and create the strategic framework within which the team delivers. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will make clear, commercially grounded decisions and work as a peer to leaders across Sales, E-commerce, Product Development and Licensing to align priorities, resolve issues and drive sustainable growth for Paladone and WeCool Toys.
This is a leadership role for someone who creates clarity, sets direction and empowers others to deliver. You will establish clear accountabilities, delegate effectively and empower your leaders and teams to be responsible for outcomes stepping in where your judgement, influence adds the greatest value.
What You'll Be Doing
· Set and communicate the global marketing vision, strategy, annual priorities and investment plan, ensuring activity supports the Group’s commercial objectives and long-term growth ambitions.
· Build a high-performing leadership culture within Marketing by defining clear ownership, delegating decision making and holding the team accountable for delivery, quality and commercial impact.
· Lead through others: coach and challenge your team, remove barriers and provide timely direction without becoming the default owner of day to day execution.
· Act as the senior marketing partner to Sales, E-commerce, Product Development and Licensing, building shared plans, agreeing priorities and making balanced decisions where customer, brand and commercial needs compete.
· Use consumer insight, market trends, performance data and commercial understanding to identify opportunities, assess risk and make confident strategic choices.
· Own global brand positioning and marketing governance, setting the standards, decision rights and performance expectations that guide delivery across all markets and channels.
· Ensure the team delivers joined-up global launch strategies and toolkits that enable strong execution by regional, channel and commercial teams.
· Sponsor the evolution of digital, e-commerce, content, influencer and channel marketing, setting outcomes and empowering subject-matter leads to determine the best route to delivery.
· Oversee the strategic value of trade shows, events, agencies and external partners, approving major investment and ensuring ownership sits with the appropriate team lead.
· Maintain senior relationships with licensors and partners, ensuring the team operates within brand requirements while maximising joint promotional opportunities.
· Create an effective operating rhythm for Marketing, with clear plans, decision points, performance reviews and escalation routes that enable pace and accountability. While this role focuses on leadership and strategic direction, the successful candidate will also enjoy staying close to key launches, campaigns and commercial priorities, providing hands-on guidance where their expertise can add the most value.
· Define the measures of success for the function, review performance and ROI, and redirect resources decisively where activity is not delivering the required commercial value.
What You'll Bring
Essential
· Proven experience operating at Head of or equivalent senior leadership level, setting strategy and achieving results through a multi-disciplinary marketing team.
· A strong record of building accountability, developing leaders, delegating effectively and creating the conditions for teams to take ownership and deliver.
· Sound judgement and the confidence to make timely, evidence-based decisions, communicate trade-offs and remain accountable for outcomes.
· Credibility as a peer-level partner to senior Sales, E-commerce, Product Development and Licensing leaders, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively and build shared ownership.
· Broad expertise across digital, social, content, PR, influencer, event and retail marketing. Able to operate strategically whilst remaining sufficiently involved to guide, challenge and support delivery when required
· Strong commercial acumen and experience using consumer insight, analytics, ROI, budgets and forecasts to prioritise investment and drive profitable growth.
Desirable
· Experience working with licensed consumer products, entertainment, toys, gifts or a similarly fast-paced international product business.
· Experience managing websites, content ecosystems, creative production workflows and digital asset libraries.
· Experience with project-management and workflow tools such as Monday.com or an equivalent platform.
We know great candidates don't always tick every box. If you're excited by the opportunity and believe you could make a positive contribution, we'd love to hear from you.
