We are currently looking for a Head of Global Transport Network & Design (d/f/m) to join our team in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel. We are a team with diverse profiles driving resilient and efficient global logistics solutions across our international network.

This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.


HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • You empower, lead and develop a high-performing global team while driving the strategic transport network vision.
  • You optimize the global transport network strategy to ensure high operational efficiency and service quality.
  • You design end-to-end transport network concepts and drive continuous flow improvements across international logistics hubs.
  • You drive sustainable transport solutions in alignment with global environmental and operational goals.
  • You manage key logistics provider relationships and strategic partnerships to ensure performance standard compliance.
  • You implement digital tools and data analytics to optimize transport routes, lead times and overall logistics network design.
  • You collaborate with global cross-functional teams to integrate supply chain strategy with broader operational demands.

This role will involve some travel for business worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.


ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a team player with the following experience, skills and mindset:

  • You hold a degree level (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline
  • You bring proven experience in strategic global transport network design, logistics planning and supply chain optimization
  • You demonstrate proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, empower and guide international teams.
  • You bring an open mindset and strong curiosity to embrace change, innovation and modern supply chain practices.
  • You have strong knowledge of international freight transport modes, regulatory frameworks and sustainable logistics initiatives
  • You show strong capacity to challenge, influence and collaborate across international and diverse team environments
  • You communicate effectively in English at negotiation level; German is a plus
