Head of HR Operations & Employee Relations
Join us in building a sustainable society powered by clean energy and reliable connections! As the current role holder is moving on to new challenges, we are looking for a business-oriented Head of HR Operations and Employee Relations to join our HR Leadership Team and help shape Enersense’s employee experience through HR operations, services and employment matters.
In this role, you will play a key role in the continuous development of our HR operations, HR services provided to our personnel, payroll and employment-related matters main focus being in Finland. You will lead HR services, the development of HR processes, systems and digitalization, and the payroll team. You will be responsible for developing HR legal practices, guiding the organisation on employment-related matters, and ensuring compliance and continuous dialogue. You will lead a team of seven professionals. Your direct reports will include the Payroll Manager, HR Services Manager, and HR system, process and digitalization specialists.
The position is part of our international Group HR Leadership Team and reports to the EVP, HR, HSEQ, Communications and Sustainability. The preferred work location is our Pasila office in Helsinki, with flexible hybrid working opportunities.
Together with your expert team, you will drive a positive employee experience and smooth HR operations through the following key responsibilities:
Lead HR operations and services
- Lead and develop HRM and employment-related processes
- Drive the development of HR systems and digitalization of the processes
- Lead the HR services function and its continuous improvement
Develop the payroll function and salary payment systems and processes
- Lead the payroll operating model development (mainly external payroll)
- Develop related systems, with a focus on master data and time and attendance systems
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, such as the EU Pay Transparency Directive
- Lead collaboration with our service providers
Lead HR legal and employment-related matters
- Ensure compliance with employment-related legislation and collective and local agreements
- Develop relations with personnel representatives by continuous dialogue and collaboration
- Develop guidelines and negotiate and implement changes related to employment-related matters
- Support the business and HR colleagues on a wide range of employment-related matters
What do we expect from you?
- A master’s degree, preferably in law, and 6-8 years of relevant experience in a business environment. We also welcome candidates with a degree in another field who have extensive experience and expertise in employment matters
- Strong collaboration, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A forward-looking mindset to developing processes and ways of working in a fast-changing and growing international organisation
- Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Fluency in English and Finnish.
