Job Title
Head of Infrastructure - MoneyPass GroupRole summary
The Head of Infrastructure owns MoneyPass Group's technology infrastructure and corporate IT, delivered through two managed service providers: 11:11 Systems for infrastructure, and a corporate IT MSP still to be selected. The role's defining goal is to have MPG ready for a SOC 2 Type 1 audit by Aug 6, 2027, in partnership with the Head of Security and the CIO.
SOC 2 scope is Cash Intelligence and Corporate IT, Security criterion only; Fiserv remains accountable for SOC 2 for the MoneyPass network and ATM Managed Services. The role also co-owns, with the CIO and Head of Security, exit from Fiserv transition services for related IT services, which must be complete by Aug 5, 2027.
MPG is a newly standalone payments company (formed August 1, 2026) running the MoneyPass surcharge-free ATM network, ATM Managed Services and Cash Intelligence software. Our clients are banks, credit unions, fintechs and ATM operators. We are a lean team standing up our own systems while many corporate functions still run on Fiserv transition services, so this leader builds the operating model, not just runs it.
This is a hands-on leadership role, not a purely managerial position. The Head of Infrastructure will personally develop operating processes, configure and administer key platforms where appropriate, troubleshoot complex issues, produce audit evidence, and execute critical implementation work alongside MPG’s managed service providers.

Key responsibilities
MSP management: infrastructure (11:11 Systems)
- Own the 11:11 relationship end to end: contract, statements of work, SLAs, service reviews, escalations and invoices.
- Define and track operational KPIs (availability, incident response, change success, backup and recovery testing, patch currency) and hold the provider to them.
- Ensure hosting, network, backup and disaster recovery for production platforms meet MPG's availability and resilience needs.
- Obtain and review 11:11's own assurance reports (e.g. SOC 1/SOC 2) and map complementary user entity controls MPG must operate.
MSP management: corporate IT
- Select and onboard the corporate IT MSP (requirements, RFP, due diligence with Security, contract), then own it: end-user support, devices, identity and access, collaboration tools, onboarding and offboarding.
- Set service levels and a service catalog for employees; run regular service reviews.
- Own the exit from Fiserv transition services for related IT services, complete by Aug 5, 2027 with no disruption to the business, including supporting data migrations from Fiserv to MPG owned systems.
Partnership with the Head of Security
- Agree a clear RACI: Security sets policy and risk appetite; Infrastructure implements and evidences controls across both MSPs.
- Jointly own access management, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response and change management.
- Run joint vendor risk reviews of both MSPs, consistent with the vendor-oversight expectations our bank and credit union clients place on us.
SOC 2 Type 1 readiness
- Lead infrastructure and IT workstreams for a SOC 2 Type 1 audit scoped to Cash Intelligence and Corporate IT under the Security Trust Services Criterion only, with the Head of Security as co-owner. Fiserv remains accountable for SOC 2 for the MoneyPass network and ATM Managed Services.
- Write or update infrastructure and IT policies and procedures, and ensure controls are designed and in place at the point-in-time audit date.
- Build evidence collection into MSP operating rhythms so it is repeatable, not a one-time scramble.
- Support auditor selection, readiness assessment, remediation and the audit itself.
AI-first leadership and adoption
- Serve as an AI-first leader who identifies and implements practical uses of AI tools and agentic capabilities across infrastructure and corporate IT operations.
- Use AI-enabled automation to improve service quality, accelerate delivery and maintain efficient operations while keeping internal headcount lean.
- Champion responsible AI adoption by helping employees and partners build confidence, develop effective use cases and incorporate approved AI tools into everyday work.
- Ensure AI use complies with MPG’s AI governance framework, policies, security requirements, data-handling standards and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
Leadership and governance
- Own the infrastructure and IT budget, including MSP spend and renewals.
- Report status, risks and SOC 2 progress to executive leadership.
- Flag and coordinate on anything touching network rules, Regulation E, BSA/AML or bank vendor-oversight obligations with Security, Compliance and Legal.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years in infrastructure and IT operations, including 5+ years leading the function.
- Proven management of outsourced infrastructure and IT through MSPs: contracts, SLAs, KPIs, escalations and commercial negotiation.
- Hands-on leadership of at least one SOC 2 (Type 1 or Type 2) or comparable audit, from readiness through report.
- Working knowledge of hybrid and cloud hosting, networking, identity and access management, backup and DR, and endpoint management.
- Experience in a regulated industry, ideally payments, banking or fintech.
- Clear communicator with executives, auditors and vendors.
Desired
- Experience in a carve-out, spin-off or new company build, including exit from transition services.
- Experience supporting bank and credit union clients' vendor-oversight reviews as a service provider.
- Familiarity with ATM networks, card processing or payment switching.
- Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, ITIL or cloud platform credentials.
This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Maine or Washington.
