E2E Meat

E2E Meat is Woolworths' fully integrated, multi-channel red meat team. Our end-to-end operational model spans commercial, product development, and the supply chain, where we manage livestock, processing, manufacturing, and strategic planning. We maintain total oversight and ensure excellence from farm to customer.

Our ambition is to be Australia’s most trusted provider of red meat and we bring this mission to life through our commitment to

  • Delivering trusted prices, quality, and freshness
  • Developing solutions and products with care
  • Providing deep expertise in beef, pork, and lamb

As Head of Integrated Business Planning, you will be the primary orchestrator of our complex, end-to-end (E2E) meat value chain. Operating at the strategic intersection of commercial strategy, supply chain, processing, and manufacturing, you will unite cross-functional stakeholders to balance product availability with total cost to serve. Reporting directly to the GM - Strategy & Planning, this high-visibility leadership role navigates critical economic trade-offs, designs long-range supply strategies, and drives operational excellence across our network.

What You'll Do

  • Process & Operating Model: Drive disciplined operational execution, accountability, and executive alignment by leading, governing, and continuously maturing our end-to-end S&OP operating rhythm.
  • High-Level Strategic Planning: Drive strategic growth by translating commercial and value chain strategies into long-range meat supply plans, proactively staying ahead of domestic and international market shifts.
  • Inventory & Manufacturing Settings: Optimise working capital while maintaining high store service levels by establishing network-wide inventory targets and aligning safety stock, shelf-life, and manufacturing settings.
  • Demand Consensus: Achieve a unified, pressure-tested demand plan by leading cross-functional consensus across commercial, replenishment, manufacturing, and sourcing teams while bringing constructive tension to challenge assumptions.
  • Supply Mix Economics: Navigate complex commercial trade-offs between livestock and boxed meat by leveraging economic tools, marginal return analysis, and breakeven calculations to guide data-driven decisions.
  • Livestock Consensus: Secure operational continuity by aligning livestock supply plans with processing capacity, accounting for shutdown periods, seasonal shifts, and market dynamics.
  • Supplementary Purchase Volumes: Establish the strategic buying approach for boxed meat; and by partnering with our sourcing team, determine the optimal volume and mix required, balancing forward contracting with spot-market purchasing.
  • Inventory Balancing & Commercial Trade-Offs: Protect margin recovery and service levels by acting as the escalation point for critical stock imbalances, partnering with retail and B2B channels to maximise returns.
  • Communication and stakeholder management: Ensure total network visibility for executive management and key stakeholders by synthesising complex information into clear narratives, proactively highlighting supply chain vulnerabilities and framing strategic and commercial opportunities.
  • Technology & Innovation: Streamline planning cycles and enhance commercial outcomes by partnering with IT to design, deliver, and embed advanced long-range planning technologies and analytics.

What You'll Bring

  • Substantial experience leading enterprise Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or S&OP operating models, successfully balancing supply, demand, and inventory risk across complex end-to-end value chains
  • Strong commercial finance and economics capability with proven skill in evaluating complex trade-offs, conducting marginal return analysis, and driving high-value business outcomes
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and narrative framing skills, with a track record of building executive consensus across diverse cross-functional teams
  • High proficiency in market intelligence, digital planning platforms, and advanced analytics to simplify complex datasets and inform forward-looking commercial strategy
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, highly ambiguous environments, with a proven ability to bring clarity, structure, and steadiness by implementing clear frameworks, establishing robust operating models, and driving cross-functional alignment.

What You’ll Experience

We embrace diversity of thought and love to take on challenges with a pragmatic and innovative approach. Our culture thrives on mutual respect, care, curiosity, openness, and a proactive attitude. We continually seek ways to pair, collaborate, support, and learn from each other as a team!

  • Team discounts across our range of Woolworths Group brands you know and love and a robust rewards program that celebrates and incentivises purpose-driven work
  • A global business with endless career possibilities around every corner and across every discipline - with valuable exposure to a vast and exciting business network
  • A progressive and flexible ‘work from anywhere' policy that gives you the opportunity to harmonise work, life and your wellbeing
  • Parental Leave provisions and various leave types, including but not limited to Study Leave and Sports Representation Leave
