Head of Operations

OutlinePlus is a growing, technology-driven built-environment business specialising in digitising existing buildings through 3D LiDAR surveying, Scan-to-BIM, Revit modelling and as-built documentation.
We are looking for an experienced built-environment professional to take ownership of the day-to-day operations and project delivery of the business, working with architects, property owners and design teams across a growing portfolio of projects.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of architecture, buildings and construction, whose strengths lie in project delivery, planning, coordination, organisation and operational improvement. You may have trained in architecture but found that the coordination and delivery side of projects is where you really excel.
This is a remote role, working closely with the Managing Director and our technical, surveying and production teams.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take overall responsibility for the operational and project-delivery functions of the business, including:
- Project planning, programming and delivery
- Resource and capacity planning across multiple projects
- Project scoping, handovers and coordination
- Client communication and expectation management
- Coordination of surveying, point-cloud and BIM/Revit production teams
- Monitoring project progress, deadlines, resources and performance
- Identifying and resolving delivery risks and bottlenecks
- Developing, implementing and continually improving operational processes, procedures and management systems
- Working closely with our Technical Manager on project and technical requirements
A key part of the role will be to bring structure, accountability and efficiency to the business and turn operational requirements into practical systems and processes that work.
About You
Ideally, you will have:
- A qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related built-environment discipline
- Strong architectural and construction knowledge
- 8–15+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong project, programme and resource-management experience
- Excellent organisational, communication and client-management skills
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to understand technical issues, ask the right questions and coordinate people effectively
Experience with Revit, BIM, point clouds or digital delivery would be a significant advantage.
