Head of Organisational Effectiveness
Manchester | Hybrid working
How do you make a complex organisation work better, not just on paper, but in practice?
RedGreen Partners is partnering with a national, complex, multi-site organisation to appoint a Head of Organisational Effectiveness into its wider HR team.
This is an opportunity to shape and develop an evolving Organisational Effectiveness (OE) function, establishing the principles, frameworks and governance that will help the organisation operate more effectively, while recognising the different needs of its diverse operating environments.
The opportunity
As the OE subject matter expert, you’ll set the enterprise-wide approach to organisational design, operating models, spans and layers, organisational governance and effectiveness metrics. Working closely with senior leaders and colleagues across People and Workforce Planning, you’ll help connect organisational capabilities with future skills, workforce requirements, processes and technology.
With two direct reports, you’ll combine strategic influence with hands-on delivery. From leading governance forums and facilitating challenging conversations to scrutinising proposals, documenting decisions and driving actions through to completion, you’ll turn OE theory into practical, sustainable improvements.
You’ll need to influence through credibility, understand competing priorities and constructively challenge established thinking, without losing sight of operational realities.
About you
Experience in a complex, infrastructure or asset-intensive environment would be advantageous, but your ability to translate established OE principles into meaningful business change matters most.
You’ll bring strong organisational effectiveness and design experience, with a track record spanning operating model design, organisational structures, spans and layers, governance and implementation.
A systems thinker, you’ll understand how people, processes and technology interact, and how the right interventions can improve outcomes beyond the immediate issue.
Equally comfortable shaping strategy and getting into the detail, you’ll be resilient, commercially aware and confident influencing senior stakeholders.
What’s on offer
Salary: £84,000 - £88,000 + car allowance + bonus + generous pension
If you’re ready to build capability, challenge constructively and make a lasting difference, we’d love to hear from you.
At RedGreen Partners, we value technology and AI, but be rest assured, every candidate application is carefully reviewed personally by one of our experienced Consultants.
