Head of Sustainability

About this Position The Head of Sustainability is responsible for making sustainability a growth driver and differentiator for Henkel Electronics. You will define and lead the sustainability strategy, roadmap, and priorities, translating customer and market requirements into innovation, portfolio, and commercial actions. This includes reducing raw material and product carbon footprints, enabling circular value creation for electronics customers, and advancing responsible chemistry across the portfolio. You will build sustainability capabilities across the organization, drives customer and market engagement through thought leadership, influences senior stakeholders, and represents Henkel in key industry associations and external forums. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Product Development, you will translate sustainability into customer value, competitive differentiation, and business growth. What you´ll do Sustainability Strategy & Growth: •Develop and steer the Electronics sustainability strategy, targets, roadmap and growth agenda. •Translate sustainability opportunities into customer value propositions, innovation priorities and sustainable portfolio choices. •Embed sustainability into business planning, product development and go-to-market activities with Marketing, Sales and Innovation. Customer & Market Engagement: •Lead sustainability discussions with key customers and partners, including senior top-to-top engagements. •Support global Sales teams in customer meetings as a credible sustainability advisor and business partner. •Shape customer-facing communication, marketing materials, lighthouse presentations and external narratives. Portfolio, Product & Value Chain Impact: •Analyze formulas, raw materials and packaging solutions to identify improvement opportunities across the portfolio. •Partner with Product Development, Marketing and Supply Chain to embed sustainability into product and commercial roadmaps. •Apply knowledge of carbon footprint, circular economy, recycling and packaging sustainability to business decisions. Stakeholder Influence & External Representation: •Represent the Electronics business unit in external sustainability forums and with relevant industry stakeholders. •Collaborate with corporate sustainability experts, consultants, suppliers and partners to strengthen sustainability leadership. •Mobilize global teams across functions and cultures, leading through influence without direct authority. What makes you a good fit Strategic, structured thinker able to convert sustainability trends into business opportunities. Strong executive presence, verbal communication and customer-facing presentation skills. Commercially minded and execution-oriented; balances strategic ambition with operational delivery. Ability to influence without authority and mobilize resources across cultures, functions and geographies. Knowledge of carbon footprint, circular economy, recycling, packaging and product sustainability principles. Fluent English required; Mandarin Chinese is a plus. High ownership, independent working style, passion for sustainability and change management capability.
