Head of Therapies
Salary up to £80,000 plus £6,500 Car Allowance
Remote, with UK-wide travel | Organisation-wide | Reporting to the Chief Quality Officer/Chief Nurse

Are you a therapies leader who believes outstanding therapeutic care changes lives? Would you like to shape how therapy is delivered across the UK's leading independent provider of mental health, addiction and adult social care? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

At Priory, therapy sits at the heart of recovery and independence. Our Allied Health Professionals, Addiction, Creative and Talking Therapists make a real and lasting difference to the people we support every day. We're now looking for an inspiring Head of Therapies to lead, champion and develop this talented community across the whole organisation: our Healthcare and Adult Care divisions, and Restore, our addiction services division.

What you'll be doing

You'll work within our Quality and Professional Leadership team and reporting direct to the Chief Quality Office providing professional leadership across every therapy discipline. You'll be the lead voice for our therapies workforce, embedding evidence-based practice, a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, and a culture of continuous improvement.

You will:
  • Lead and develop our AHP, addiction, creative and talking therapies workforce, working with professional leads across all divisions
  • Champion access to NICE-recommended psychological interventions, including CBT, DBT, EMDR and CAT
  • Drive quality improvement, clinical audit and outcome measurement in therapies
  • Lead preceptorship, induction, CPD, clinical supervision and workforce development programmes
  • Shape policy, multidisciplinary working frameworks and student placement partnerships
  • Represent Priory at national professional forums and networks

What you'll bring to the role

You'll be an HCPC-registered Allied Health Professional, or hold accreditation with BACP, UKCP, BPS, BABCP or another relevant body, with at least five years' post-qualification experience. You'll bring significant senior therapies leadership experience from a hospital, residential or community setting. You'll also have specialist expertise in areas such as adult mental health, addictions, eating disorders, CAMHS, secure services, learning disabilities, trauma or neurorehabilitation.

Above all, you'll be a collaborative, positive and visible leader with a proven track record of quality improvement. You'll also have a passion for helping therapists, and the people they support, to thrive.

This position is a leadership role at Priory and during the interview process we will be assessing candidates against our leadership behaviours. These are a set of ten values driven behaviours that define great leadership at Priory. They are integral to driving a positive high performing culture where we strive to deliver the best care and outcomes for the people we support.
