We are the UK’s largest end to end drainage solution provider with depots strategically located across the UK from Aberdeen to Plymouth, to ensure round the clock coverage for customers and clients alike. We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Head of Transformation to lead operational improvement initiatives across our depot network. This role will be dedicated to working closely with local depot teams, understanding operational challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing sustainable change that drives performance to the next level. Acting as a trusted partner to depot leaders and central functions, the Head of Transformation will champion continuous improvement, enhance operational effectiveness, and support the delivery of strategic business objectives. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical capability with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and a hands-on approach to change delivery. Key Responsibilities Operational Transformation & Continuous Improvement Partner with depot leadership teams to identify operational inefficiencies, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Lead transformation programmes that improve productivity, service delivery, customer experience, cost efficiency, and operational performance. Develop and implement continuous improvement methodologies and best practices across the depot network. Drive standardisation of processes whilst recognising and adapting to local operational requirements where appropriate. Establish robust performance improvement plans and monitor progress against agreed objectives. Stakeholder Partnership Build strong relationships with depot managers, regional leaders, and central support functions. Act as a coach and advisor to local teams, supporting the adoption of new processes and ways of working. Facilitate workshops and improvement initiatives that encourage collaboration and engagement across the network. Influence stakeholders at all levels to gain buy-in for transformational change. Performance & Insights Analyse operational data, KPIs, trends, and business performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks. Create actionable insights that support evidence-based decision making. Develop reporting frameworks and governance structures to track transformation programmes and business outcomes. Ensure lessons learned and best practice are shared across the wider network. Change Leadership Lead the planning, delivery, and embedding of transformation initiatives. Ensure change programmes deliver measurable and sustainable improvements. Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder impacts associated with transformation projects. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Key Skills & Experience Essential Significant experience leading operational transformation, change, or continuous improvement programmes within a multi-site environment. Proven ability to deliver measurable operational and commercial improvements. Strong understanding of operational performance management and KPI-driven environments. Experience working directly with frontline and operational teams to drive business change. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to convert insight into action. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional projects and initiatives.
