Role Description: We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Market Development Leader to join our global merchandising team and shape the future of our product assortment across a rapidly growing print-on-demand ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of e-commerce, sourcing, and marketplace strategy, with a mandate to build a best-in-class catalog that meets the evolving needs of both SMB and Enterprise customers across key sales channels including Etsy, Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon, and beyond. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in category management and vendor ecosystems, paired with a strong understanding of digital commerce trends and customer segmentation. They will be responsible for gathering and translating demand signals into actionable assortment strategies to eliminate priority demand gaps. They will work with sourcing and catalog operations partners to onboard new suppliers and high-impact products that position assortment as a foundational engine of global growth. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring close collaboration with catalog operations, vendor management, product and sales teams to unlock growth through assortment excellence. Key Responsibilities: Develop sourcing strategies that align with company growth goals across SMB and Enterprise segments Analyze demand signals across multiple sales channels (Etsy, Shopify, TikTok, Amazon, etc.) to identify assortment opportunities and gaps Build a structured framework for assortment planning, prioritization, and lifecycle management Lead vendor sourcing efforts, including identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with new suppliers and manufacturers Optimize existing assortment through performance analysis, pricing strategy, and product positioning Establish category KPIs and dashboards to track performance, trends, and opportunities Partner cross-functionally with product, supply chain, marketing, and partnerships teams to align on category priorities and execution Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to ensure a differentiated and leading assortment Drive continuous improvement in vendor performance, cost structure, and product quality Build scalable processes and playbooks for category expansion across regions and channels Qualifications and Experience: 8+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, sourcing, or related roles within e-commerce or marketplaces Proven track record of building and scaling growth-driving product assortments in a multi-channel or marketplace environment Strong experience with vendor management, sourcing, and supplier negotiations Deep understanding of e-commerce ecosystems, including platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, Etsy, and emerging social commerce channels Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and translate insights into actionable strategies Experience working across customer segments (SMB and Enterprise) with an understanding of differing needs and buying behaviors Strong business acumen with experience managing P&L or category-level performance metrics to maximise business outcomes Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and drive initiatives from concept to execution Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus FYUL is the engine that powers on-demand commerce at global scale.
