Health Consultant

Role Description This internship Health Consultant role at MERTEL Events GmbH is a hybrid position based in Vienna, with a mix of on-site work and work from home. The intern supports the planning and implementation of health-related initiatives and programs connected to events and corporate activities, including basic research on health topics, preparation of informational materials, and coordination of simple wellness or preventive health actions. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and organizing health data, assisting in risk assessments for events, drafting clear health guidelines, and helping communicate recommendations to internal teams and external partners. The role also involves supporting administrative tasks, attending meetings, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure health standards are met. This is a learning-focused position designed to provide practical experience in health consulting within an event management environment.
Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in health sciences, public health, or a related field, gained through ongoing studies or equivalent experience.
• Strong research and analytical abilities, with capacity to interpret health information and summarize key findings for non-specialist audiences.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, interact respectfully with diverse stakeholders, and maintain a professional demeanor on-site at events.
• Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Comfort with common office software and digital collaboration tools; willingness to learn new systems and follow documentation standards.

• Availability to work in a hybrid setup based in Vienna, including occasional evening or weekend hours during major events if required.
