About ENTSO-E
ENTSO-E is the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. We coordinate the cross-border system operations, system development and electricity market activities of the 40 electricity transmission system operators (TSOs) which cover 36 countries. The ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels provides support on technical, market and policy developments for all European TSOs in their cooperation with each other, in their joint fulfilment of their legal mandates, and in the intensive interactions with EU decision-makers, regulatory agencies, associations representing network users and other stakeholders.
At ENTSO-E, you will contribute to building the world’s largest integrated electricity market – impacting not only those in the energy sector but also Europe’s overall economy, today and in the future!
Job description
As Health, Safety & Prevention Senior Specialist, you will be part of the People, Talent & Culture Section, contributing to the development and maintenance of a safe, compliant, and healthy working environment. You will act as the organisation’s internal Prevention Advisor, ensuring full alignment with Belgian statutory and legal requirements while fostering a strong culture of employee well-being, engagement, and inclusion. In this role, you will also support our people agenda by coordinating health and safety learning initiatives, tracking key D&I and sustainability metrics, and driving internal engagement activities across our multicultural organisation.
You will work in the ENTSO-E Secretariat in Brussels, reporting to the Talent & People Development Manager.
Your responsibilities
Your tasks will vary depending on project priorities and may include, but are not limited to:
Acting as the Internal Prevention Advisor (IPA) ensuring compliance, preparing documentation and reporting, managing the CPPT/CPBW meetings and follow-up actions, and contributing to the Business Continuity Plan.
Developing, updating, and implementing health, safety, and well-being policies, action plans, and risk assessments in line with Belgian legal obligations and internal standards.
Handling individual health, safety, and well-being cases with discretion, supporting long-term absence follow-ups and sustainable reintegration paths.
Designing and coordinating health, safety, and well-being training modules alongside the L&D Coordinator, while supporting the general training catalogue and provider coordination.
Gathering and analysing HR data covering well-being, Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), and sustainability to deliver actionable insights and reinforce the organisation’s Code of Conduct.
Leading and facilitating employee participation initiatives and organizing organisation-wide team activities, cultural gatherings, and community events (St Nicolas, Christmas Party, D&I Week).
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated professional with the following skills and qualifications:
Relevant university degree with 7+ years of professional experience within occupational health, safety, and employee well-being, preferably in an international or association context.
Official Belgian Prevention Advisor certification (Level 2 or Level 1) with strong practical knowledge of Belgian health and safety legislation and statutory reporting procedures.
High personal integrity and sound judgment, with full commitment to professional confidentiality.
Experience in coordinating or managing staff training programmes, events, learning initiatives, or external training providers is considered an asset.
Excellent command of English (written and oral); working knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a distinct asset given interactions with local authorities and external prevention services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple deadlines with high integrity, empathy, and confidentiality.
Solid IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint).
Motivation to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
