Description
The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) is a high-performing center of excellence for managing large, complex strategic initiatives. With a total of 20 project managers, the EPMO manages a variety of projects ranging from clinical system improvements to large scale enterprise system upgrades. As such, the senior project manager will be confident in managing a variety of projects using project management best practices and EPMO guidelines under the supervision of a Project Director.
The senior Project Manager will work closely with both the SVP of Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and Project Director to assist with all project activities including, but not limited to:
1. Represent the EPMO in all project planning meetings.
2. Liaison between business stakeholders and IT leaders to identify business requirements and perform a needs assessment for IT systems and services.
3. Work with stakeholders to develop specifications for enterprise IT systems, services and spaces that meet business requirements.
4. Work with purchasing department to develop and issue IFBs, RFQs and RFPs for hardware, software and services that meet IT specifications.
5. Assist stakeholders to evaluate bids and select vendors.
6. Develop a Statement of Work with stated goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, budget, stakeholders, roles and responsibilities and schedule.
7. Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule.
8. Schedule and conduct regular project status meetings with IT and business stakeholders and capture minutes for distribution to stakeholders.
9. Track critical path tasks with assigned resources.
10. Document and report Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies using a RAID log.
11. Track project change requests and approvals.
12. Upload and maintain project documentation on project SharePoint site.
13. Issue weekly project status reports.
14. Travel to onsite meetings as needed.
15. Any other duties as needed.
This person would get projects that are in the pipeline large, strategic, complex projects. Long durations, cross-functional. May not be IT projects IT components but not IT driven.
For example, they are going to be upgrading their ERP system for HR this person would help from the beginning with the business case, the RFP, define current state and future state, and all the way through to implementation and go-live. Help lead the customer through the journey.
Experience managing projects for a hospital imaging or lab related. Maybe a large network refresh project. Someone that knows the vernacular. 60% infrastructure, 40% application. Almost 50/50.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be articulate, well-spoken.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Minimum ten (10) years of experience managing and leading large, complex technology-related projects with multiple business stakeholders, including all aspects of process development and execution.
2. Five (5) years of project management experience within a Hospital Health Care Organization.
3. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
4. Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, etc.).
5. Working knowledge of MS Project, Service Now SPM and/or other project management software.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
1. PMP certification preferred.
2. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Healthcare Information Management, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience from an accredited institution.
3. Eight (8) years of work experience with advanced degree (MS or MBA) would compensate for two years of project management work experience.
4. Five (5) years of experience with local, state, and/or federal regulatory requirements.
5. Experience working in a large Project Management Office (PMO).

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80.00 - $93.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
