Job Title: Healthcare Staffing & Outreach Specialist Position type: Full-Time Work hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Central Daylight Time, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break Work days: Monday to Friday Salary: $6 - $7 per hour, depending on experience Workplace: Remote Our client is a well-established U.S.-based home healthcare and staffing provider serving pediatric and adult patients. The organization provides medical and non-medical home care services, including staffing support for Medicaid waiver patients and private duty nursing cases. We are seeking a confident, proactive, and results-driven Healthcare Staffing & Outreach Specialist to support facility outreach, business development, recruitment initiatives, and administrative coordination. A major focus of this role will be outbound calling and relationship-building with healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, caseworkers, and other referral sources . You will introduce the organization's services, identify staffing and patient care opportunities, and help connect available healthcare professionals with facilities and patients who need support. You will also assist with recruitment efforts for Medicaid waiver programs and private duty nursing cases, particularly for pediatric patients ages 0–21. Depending on your experience, you may also support insurance credentialing and other administrative workflows. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, persistent with follow-ups, comfortable initiating conversations, and motivated by measurable results. Candidates with healthcare credentialing experience who are also comfortable with outreach and cold calling are especially encouraged to apply. Training will be provided on the client's workflows and systems, including HHAeXchange and the selected phone/communication platform. Scope of Work / Responsibilities Healthcare Outreach & Business Development Conduct outbound calls to healthcare facilities, hospitals, clinics, caseworkers, and other potential referral or business partners Introduce the organization's home healthcare and staffing services Explain available staffing and private duty nursing services clearly and professionally Identify facility staffing needs and potential patient care opportunities Communicate with hospital and clinic caseworkers regarding private duty nursing services for pediatric patients ages 0–21 Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare contacts and referral sources Conduct consistent follow-ups with prospective facilities and contacts Help position available healthcare staffing services as a solution to identified needs Coordinate appointments or follow-up conversations when appropriate Track outreach activity, responses, opportunities, and next steps Recruitment & Staffing Support Support recruitment-focused outreach for Medicaid waiver patients and private duty nursing opportunities Contact relevant healthcare facilities and caseworkers to identify potential patient placements Assist with matching available staff to appropriate patient care or staffing opportunities Maintain organized records of staffing needs, opportunities, and follow-ups Coordinate with the internal team regarding new staffing or patient opportunities Support recruitment and placement initiatives as needed Credentialing & Administrative Support Assist with healthcare credentialing when within the candidate's experience Contact insurance companies regarding credentialing requirements and status Assist with completing credentialing processes for insurance plans the organization is not yet credentialed with Follow up on outstanding credentialing information and requirements Maintain accurate records of credentialing progress Provide general administrative and coordination support Maintain organized documentation and activity records Prepare and submit end-of-day updates and reports as required Top 3 Priorities 1. Healthcare Facility Outreach Conduct consistent outbound outreach to facilities, hospitals, clinics, caseworkers, and other referral sources to identify new staffing and patient care opportunities. 2. Recruitment & Staffing Support Support recruitment efforts for Medicaid waiver patients and private duty nursing cases by identifying opportunitiesand helping connect available staff with patient and facility needs. 3. Credentialing Support Assist with insurance credentialing and follow-up when needed. Credentialing experience is highly beneficial but may not be required for candidates with strong outreach and business development experience. Performance Expectations Success in this role will be measured through consistent productivity and measurable outreach results, including: Outbound outreach activity and follow-up New healthcare facility and referral opportunities identified Recruitment and staffing opportunities generated Accuracy and consistency of activity tracking and end-of-day reports Follow-through on outreach and credentialing tasks Contribution toward a target of approximately 4 new clients per month Required Skills & Experience Previous experience in cold calling, outbound outreach, business development, recruitment, appointment setting, or a similar role Strong professional phone communication skills Confident initiating conversations with new healthcare and business contacts Comfortable conducting a high volume of outbound outreach Strong follow-up skills and persistence Ability to explain services clearly and professionally Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills Recruitment or staffing experience Ability to identify opportunities and move conversations toward appropriate next steps Excellent spoken and written English Strong organization and attention to detail Able to maintain accurate outreach records and activity reports Self-motivated and able to work independently Results-oriented and comfortable working toward productivity targets Reliable, responsive, and consistent Highly Preferred Experience Healthcare credentialing experience Healthcare business development or outreach experience Home healthcare or healthcare staffing experience Experience with Medicaid waiver programs Private duty nursing staffing or recruitment experience Experience communicating with hospital or clinic caseworkers Healthcare recruitment or staffing experience Experience contacting insurance companies regarding credentialing Appointment-setting experience Experience using HHAeXchange Experience with CRM or call-tracking platforms such as GoHighLevel Familiarity with VoIP or cloud-based phone systems Candidates may be considered if they have: Strong business development/outreach experience without credentialing experience Strong business development experience with some credentialing familiarity Healthcare credentialing experience combined with a willingness and confidence to perform cold calling and outreach Candidates with credentialing experience and a strong outbound communication style are particularly encouraged to apply. Training will be provided on HHAeXchange and the client's selected phone system. Healthcare industry knowledge may also be developed through training for candidates with strong transferable outreach skills.
