Overview


Join the Technical Services team supporting the Trillium Line Project. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of transit operations by managing work orders, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring operational issues are routed to the right teams for resolution. Working in a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and operational teams to support service excellence and continuous improvement.


Your Role


  • Review defect and incident information received through email, telephone, radio, and other communication channels.
  • Create and manage work orders within the Maintenance Management and Performance Reporting System (MMPRS).
  • Assess reported defects and determine the appropriate response based on established performance parameters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and subcontractors to ensure timely resolution of defects and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor work order progress, update records accurately, and document completed repairs and root causes.
  • Escalate safety-related or commercially significant issues to key stakeholders as required.
  • Support Yard Control Centre operations through administrative assistance, communications support, and operational reporting activities.

About You


  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, communication technologies, and data entry platforms.
  • Ability to analyze information, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Aptitude for building strong working relationships and collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability and willingness to work within a 24/7 operational environment, including overtime when required.

Expected compensation for this role is $35 hourly during training and $37 hourly upon qualification. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
