Service Desk Technician Position Summary Provide advanced technical support by resolving complex end-user issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives. This role serves as an escalation point for front-line support staff while delivering a high-quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve escalated technical issues involving end-user devices, operating systems, business applications, and network connectivity. Perform user account administration, including provisioning, deprovisioning, access updates, and permissions management. Serve as an escalation resource for support team members, providing guidance on complex incidents and troubleshooting methodologies. Collaborate with team members to identify recurring issues, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, procedures, and knowledge base articles. Contribute to workflow optimization and service delivery enhancements that improve customer satisfaction. Ensure timely resolution of support requests while adhering to established service standards. Required Qualifications Experience troubleshooting desktop operating systems, productivity applications, email systems, and remote access technologies. Strong understanding of user account management and access control processes. Ability to independently analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong documentation practices. Understanding of incident escalation procedures and support service workflows. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. General knowledge of end-user computing environments, server technologies, and networking fundamentals. Prior experience supporting multiple customers or working within a technology services environment is preferred. Preferred Qualifications 2-5 years of service desk, technical support, or help desk experience. Relevant industry certifications in networking, endpoint administration, technical support, or related disciplines. Demonstrated commitment to professional development through ongoing training, certifications, or cross-functional learning. Additional Requirements Reliable high-speed internet connection. Dedicated, professional work environment suitable for remote support activities. Ability to remain seated for extended periods while handling support requests and assisting users remotely. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
