Responsibilities This role serves the entire Community Health System as part of a team of over 30 people made up of coders, clerical support and educators. This team works together to meet and exceed common goals. In this remote position, you will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for statistical and reimbursement requirements to inpatient and/or outpatient accounts. We use the most current and up-to-date technology and software, meaning you will have the constant opportunity to grow and learn in your role! Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Completion of courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology required Experience: 5 years of recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting required Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 coding, DRG and APRDRG assignment required Licenses and Certifications CCS – Certified Coding Specialist required Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.• If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
