The HIM Manager, Payer Clinical Services, oversees and supports the Health Information Management (HIM) team while fostering a culture of exceptional client service. This role ensures team members have the knowledge, training, tools, and support needed to meet or exceed business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Oversee medical record and correspondence requests, including process improvement and document creation.
- MRR and Letter Handling/Process Improvement
- Medical Record Portal
- Vendor Management
- Provider Management
- Payer/Provider Collaboration.

Manage team workflows to maintain quality standards and productivity.

Provide inventory management coverage during periods of overflow.

Conduct quality assurance monitoring for HIM staff.

Collaborate with leadership, team members, vendors, and clients to continually improve processes and strengthen client and vendor communications.

Ensure compliance with all healthcare privacy and security laws, including HIPAA, and safeguard health information from unauthorized access.

Manage electronic health records (EHRs) and, as necessary, paper records.
