Hong Kong Business Development & Marketing Operations Manager
Location: Hong Kong, with Cyberport as a business base

Base salary: HK$20,000–30,000 per month, depending on experience and capabilities, plus a performance-based incentive scheme. The incentive terms will be clarified before employment.
About Bamboo Digital Technologies
Bamboo Digital Technologies (BDT) provides white-label fintech software products and implementation services for financial institutions and enterprises. Our modular solutions span digital banking, eWallets and payment infrastructure. We adapt proven product foundations to clients’ business needs rather than building every solution from scratch.
BDT’s solutions have been deployed in more than ten countries and regions. We aim to expand further across emerging and developing markets, where financial institutions and businesses need practical, adaptable digital infrastructure.
About the role
We are looking for a hands-on manager to help develop our Hong Kong business and keep important work moving across clients, partners and internal teams. You will be involved in business development, local market activities, project coordination and the practical operations of our Hong Kong business.
This is a broad role, but it is not an undefined “do everything” position. Much of the work involves researching, organising, coordinating, following up and maintaining reliable records. You should be comfortable engaging senior client and partner stakeholders, while also paying attention to the details that move a discussion towards a signed agreement, a delivered project or a completed application.
You will work with colleagues in Hong Kong and other locations and time zones. The responsibilities below indicate the expected balance of the role and may evolve with business needs.
Key responsibilities
1. Business development and client follow-up — approximately 30%
• Build and maintain a structured CRM, client pipeline and list of prospective customers and partners.
• Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, record key discussion points and agreed actions, and follow up with clear owners and timelines.
• Develop and maintain client and partner relationships in Hong Kong, including appropriate engagement with senior stakeholders.
• Help prepare company introductions, product materials, proposals and quotations in coordination with the relevant internal teams. Commercial terms and commitments are subject to company approval.
• Track opportunities from initial contact through needs assessment, proposal, negotiation and the next agreed step.
2. Market activities and the local ecosystem — approximately 20%
• Monitor relevant fintech, enterprise technology, business chamber and industry events in Hong Kong.
• Organise participation in events, client visits, partner meetings and smaller business gatherings where they support clear relationship or opportunity goals.
• Develop relationships within the Cyberport ecosystem and the wider Hong Kong business community.
• Record contacts and outcomes, and turn promising conversations into qualified follow-up rather than treating event attendance as a result in itself.
• Support relevant local and overseas marketing content or partner communications in coordination with the wider team.
3. Project and internal coordination — approximately 20%
• Coordinate the commercial and operational follow-up around proof-of-concept work, contracts, delivery, acceptance, invoicing, payment collection and renewals.
• Connect Hong Kong clients and partners with product, delivery, finance and other colleagues, including teams based in mainland China.
• Maintain clear project records, action lists, owners and deadlines; identify delays or unresolved issues and escalate them in time.
• Help ensure that commitments made in client discussions are accurately communicated internally and followed through. Technical delivery, legal approval and financial decisions remain with the responsible teams.
4. Hong Kong business operations and government resources — approximately 20%
• Organise business records relating to suppliers, contracts, payments, projects and supporting evidence for the Hong Kong company.
• Research potentially relevant resources, including the BUD Fund and other government programmes, and maintain an application calendar and document checklist.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisers on application preparation, submission follow-up, project execution, audit requests and reimbursement documentation where applicable.
• Keep a clear record of requirements, submissions, decisions and outstanding actions. The role coordinates the process; it does not make final judgments on legal, tax, licensing or funding eligibility.
5. Other business priorities — approximately 10%
• Support other reasonable Hong Kong business development, marketing or operational priorities as needs arise.
• Assess urgency and impact, agree priorities with management, and ensure additional tasks do not displace critical client or project commitments without discussion.
What we are looking for
• Experience in business development, partnerships, B2B marketing, client management or a related commercial operations role, with a practical understanding of the Hong Kong business environment.
• The confidence and professionalism to represent BDT in client and partner discussions, including with senior stakeholders, while respecting approval and authority boundaries.
• Strong initiative and follow-through: you can turn a meeting or an idea into documented actions, responsible owners and a timely next step.
• Good organisation and judgment. You are comfortable handling a varied workload, distinguishing urgent matters from important ones and escalating issues when specialist input is needed.
• The ability to coordinate across commercial, product, delivery and administrative teams without assuming that you personally own every specialist decision.
• Cantonese for local business conversations, fluent Mandarin, and English sufficient for meetings, business correspondence and written materials.
• Legal eligibility to work in Hong Kong.
Experience in fintech, payments, banking technology, enterprise software or Hong Kong government funding processes would be an advantage. We do not expect one person to be a legal, tax, licensing and grants specialist.
What you can expect
You will play a practical role in building BDT’s presence in Hong Kong. This position offers direct exposure to clients and partners, as well as the opportunity to improve the systems and follow-up processes that support our local business.
The role combines collaboration at our Hong Kong business base, client and partner meetings, events and remote work. Specific working arrangements, priorities and performance objectives will be discussed during the hiring process.
How to apply
Please email your CV to talent@bamboodt.com. We would welcome a brief example of a client opportunity, partnership or cross-team project that you personally helped move forward. Tell us how you organised the work, handled obstacles and followed through on the outcome.
