Role Description The HPC Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance computing infrastructure and software solutions that support RedFort Group’s data-intensive workloads. Day-to-day tasks include developing and optimizing parallel and distributed applications, managing cluster resources, and troubleshooting performance and scalability issues. The role involves collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure teams to ensure HPC systems are reliable, secure, and efficient. The HPC Engineer will also contribute to automation, documentation, and best practices to improve deployment pipelines and operational workflows, while staying current with emerging HPC technologies and tools.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in high-performance or distributed computing environments.
- Experience with Back-End Web Development related to HPC services, APIs, or microservices.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and their application in scalable systems.
- Familiarity with HPC tools and frameworks (e.g., MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, or similar), and experience with Linux-based environments.
- Experience managing or using compute clusters, schedulers, and resource managers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, or Kubernetes).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid team setting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
