Ctrl Alt is designing and operating the on-chain infrastructure powering digital capital markets globally. We bring together a unique blend of expertise in financial markets and cutting-edge in-house technology to deliver tailored, compliant solutions in the alternative assets space. Since launching in 2022, we’ve tokenized assets across real estate, private credit, funds, litigation finance and more.
We’re building a high-performance, people-first culture where ambitious individuals can thrive. We move fast, think big and hold ourselves to a high bar, while keeping things collaborative, open and genuinely fun. At Ctrl Alt ideas win on merit, teams work closely with leadership, and everyone has a voice in shaping what we build next.
We believe that hard work should come with real reward. You won’t just join a company - you’ll help build one. Last year alone, we grew from 17 to 50 people, and this year we’re going faster and further. That means real responsibility, meaningful impact, and the opportunity to grow alongside a company that’s redefining the future of finance through the tokenization of alternative assets.
If you’re excited by scale-up energy, ownership, and the chance to help shape both a business and a culture, Ctrl Alt is where you can do the most rewarding work of your career.
The Opportunity
Join Ctrl Alt’s People team in Belfast and gain broad exposure to HR in a fast-moving business. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the UK, Ireland and UAE, building experience across the employee journey and getting involved in projects that shape how we support our people.
This is a varied role with plenty of room to contribute. We’re looking for someone motivated and curious, who wants to take ownership, bring ideas and see the impact of their work. You’ll have the opportunity to build your skills through practical experience and meaningful responsibility.
You’ll enjoy this role if you like a busy environment, take pride in doing things well and want responsibility. We’ll expect you to show initiative, think ahead and follow things through, with guidance and support as you learn. If you’re ready for more variety and a challenge, this could be a great next step in your HR career.
What you'll be doing
Keeping our HRIS (HiBob) and employee records accurate, including approved changes to roles, pay, reporting lines, working arrangements and leave balances.
Preparing contracts and employee letters using approved templates, coordinating approvals and signatures, and tracking renewals and end dates.
Coordinating onboarding and offboarding, from starter documents, checks and welcome materials to equipment, system access and leaver arrangements. Following up with the right people to make sure everything is ready on time.
Working with payroll to collect starter and tax forms, check monthly changes, investigate discrepancies and prepare accurate information by the agreed deadlines.
Helping Compliance build the annual training plan, organise training and track completion, identifying gaps and following up on outstanding requirements.
Exploring how approved AI tools and automation can reduce repetitive work and improve accuracy. Helping test improvements, checking outputs and resolving issues with the team.
Managing benefits administration, including health insurance and pensions, enrolments, changes, renewals and provider follow-up.
Supporting recruitment through interview scheduling, candidate communications, Teamtailor updates and the handover from an approved offer into onboarding.
Keeping probation check-ins and performance reviews on track through scheduling, preparation and timely follow-up with managers.
Maintaining compliance records, including right-to-work and visa expiry trackers, policy acknowledgements and equality monitoring information, and preparing evidence for review.
Helping with employee introductions, recognition, anniversaries and events, including bookings, attendance and practical arrangements.
Answering routine employee questions using agreed guidance, and referring sensitive matters or decisions to HR manager.
Keeping handbook content, process guides and templates current. Tracking People-team actions and coordinating supplier invoices, renewal reminders and equipment records with Finance and IT.
This role will be a great fit if you:
Have some hands-on experience in HR administration or another administrative role involving accurate records and deadlines. Experience gained through an internship or placement counts.
Have experience maintaining records, checking documents or working with data, and can explain how you check your work for accuracy.
Can manage several tasks or deadlines, keeping track of what is outstanding and following up with others.
Can spot a problem, anticipate the next step or improve how something was done without waiting to be asked.
Can write clear, professional emails and communicate confidently with colleagues, candidates and suppliers.
Understand the importance of confidentiality and know when to ask for guidance before sharing information or making a decision.
Are motivated to develop in HR, comfortable learning new systems and willing to take on responsibility, ask questions and act on feedback.
Nice to haves:
Familiarity with HiBob, Teamtailor or similar HR and recruitment systems.
Experience supporting payroll, benefits administration or training coordination.
Experience using AI or automation to improve a task or process.
CIPD study or a relevant qualification.
