As an HR Advisor within our HR Advisory Team, you’ll provide practical, business-focused HR support to clients across a variety of sectors. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll help managers navigate employee relations challenges, provide clear advice and build trusted relationships, with the support of a collaborative team.
What We Offer
Salary: £20,000 to £21,875 per annum, equivalent to £32,000 to £35,000 full-time.
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:30pm to 5:30pm.
Location: Home-based, with attendance at our Kettering office for onboarding, training and other requirements.
Benefits: Annual leave increasing with service, plus bank holidays, birthday leave, paid volunteering opportunities, a health cash plan, life assurance and private healthcare after a qualifying period.
A collaborative team, wellbeing services and opportunities to develop your HR experience.
What We’re Looking For
This is a varied opportunity to provide professional HR advice by telephone and email, helping clients manage employee relations matters with confidence. You’ll advise on disciplinary and grievance processes, absence management, restructures, redundancy and TUPE, translating employment legislation into clear, business-focused guidance.
Working closely with your colleagues, you’ll ensure client enquiries are answered within agreed service levels and provide support to HR Consultants’ clients when they are unavailable.
You’ll also draft and review employment documentation, including offer letters and written statements, and help prepare and update employee handbooks and policies so they reflect current legislation and clients’ needs.
About You
You’ll bring practical HR experience at Advisor level or above, with experience providing business-focused advice to managers at different levels. You’ll have strong generalist HR knowledge, a sound understanding of current employment legislation and the confidence to apply it to real workplace situations.
You’ll be educated to degree level, ideally in HR Management, or have suitable equivalent experience. You’ll understand the commercial considerations behind your advice and communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and relationship-building skills will help you succeed. You’ll be comfortable using Microsoft Office, web-based applications and HR systems, and able to manage competing priorities, use your initiative and work collaboratively under pressure.
