# Human Resources Business Partner
## About the Role
A growing international organization in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join its HR team. This is a strategic and hands-on HRBP role that partners directly with senior leaders while supporting employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, talent development, engagement, HR operations, and organizational initiatives.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating close to the business, building strong relationships with leaders and employees, and translating business challenges into practical people solutions. This position combines strategic HR partnership with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
## Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders and business units.
* Coach leaders through employee relations, performance, organizational, and workforce issues.
* Support workforce planning, talent reviews, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
* Lead and support employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
* Partner with leaders on hiring strategies, role design, onboarding, and talent needs.
* Guide complex employee relations matters while supporting fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
* Use HR data, reporting, and workforce metrics to identify trends and support business decisions.
* Support HR systems, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
* Partner across HR on compensation, benefits, leave, and employee development programs.
* Lead HR projects and organizational change initiatives that may extend across the broader organization.
* Manage multiple HR priorities while meeting project deadlines and business needs.
* Identify root causes of people and organizational issues and develop practical solutions.
* Influence and advise leaders and employees at all organizational levels.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree.
* 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
* Direct HR Business Partner experience, or strong Senior HR Generalist experience with significant business-partnering responsibilities.
* Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and executives.
* Strong employee relations experience.
* Strong performance management experience.
* Experience leading HR initiatives and supporting organizational or cultural change.
* Strong project management and deadline-management skills.
* Experience working with HR data, reporting, and workforce analytics.
* Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Ability to balance strategic HR responsibilities with hands-on day-to-day execution.
* Ability to work effectively with ambiguity, competing priorities, and a fast-moving business environment.
* Stable work history, with no more than 2 jobs in the last 5 years.
* Must already be local to the Virginia Beach area, as relocation assistance is not available.
## Preferred Qualifications
* Significant Senior HR Generalist experience with business-partnering responsibilities.
* Experience supporting international organizations or internationally oriented business environments.

## Education & Experience
### Experience
* 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
* Direct HRBP experience or substantial Senior HR Generalist business-partnering experience.

## Compensation & Benefits
* **Base Salary:** Approximately $95,000–$105,000
* **Annual Bonus:** Discretionary
* **401(k):** 7% dollar-for-dollar match
